Comments now split up, only 15 per page

I was getting trouble with my web hosting company BlueHost that I consume too much time from their database server. A few weeks ago, they actually shut down my site for about 8 hours. The site was shut down until I called in - it was a Saturday and I didn't realize it right away. I called in at 7pm and was told that I had to wait until Monday to get the domain activated again.
I didn't hang up but complained and luckily some engineer came around and helped the guy on the phone to activate my account again.

I guess that can happen with shared accounts for under $10 / month.

The solution was to optimize the database related code and also to not display necessarily all comments on the first page load.

You will see now that only 15 comments are shown per page view. Links to comments in newly sent out emails should work fine.

I think I still need to do something about the search engine, I suspect it may not work right now.

Hello! Well the 'split' certainly helps the pages load faster! I am not sure that the 'recent comments' update is working though as I posted a comment on 2 pages and they have not appeared on the list. Keep up the good work Peter! Dom

Work's ALOT better and faster! Now if people would just use the search and add their info in the right thread and not put it just anywhere it would be a BIG help too! I have found thesome of the same scammers on up to 10 different threads! Maybe some instuctions are in order!?

Maybe some instuctions are in order!? People do not read instructions on these kind of sites. The site needs a moderator to move random posts into their correct thread.

about moderation.. I try to improve the functions that allow me to moderate. Believe me, I move around postings all the time, pretty much 7 days a week. Just added something, that when someone submits a new scammer 'profile', and a significant number of pictures overlay with an existing entry, then the new submission gets merged into the existing thread. >> I am not sure that the 'recent comments' update The bar on the right side has now the proper links directly to the new comment. -Peter
