RXLib is a widely used freeware component collection, available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/rxlib and elsewhere.

Installing it is not as trivial as there is no installer provided.
Follow these steps:

  1. first compile the run-time Rx*.dpk packages
  2. then move those *.dpl files to your windows system directory
  3. then compile and install the dcl*.dpk files

1. the files have got the extension .bpl (for newer Delphi Versions, maybe it used to be .dpl in some older versions, I don't remember)
2. Moving them to the Windows directory is not a good idea, it just pollutes that place even further. Instead, make sure your packages output directoriy are in the Windows search path and leave those files there.
