Question:

How can I play back a MS Powerpoint presentation in my Delphi application?

Answer:

One might think that you need to create a Powerpoint OLE object, but there is an easier way. Drop a TWebBrowser component on your form and enjoy the benefits of Internet Explorer - which will without further coding play .PPT files.
If the browser version is new enough, it will play back even the Powerpoint animations.

var
  d1, d2, d3, d4: OleVariant;
begin
  WebBrowser1.Navigate('file:///C:\Documents\Sample.ppt', d1, d2, d3, d4);
end;
