What does the acronym AWT mean?

Answer:

Abstract Windows Toolkit. It is the collection of Components for users interface defination including the system for event managemnet and lay out mechanisms.

AWT is the abstract Window Toolkit.It contain components which will be used just like an applet window.But AWT is an attractive environment tool to develop applications.
