Other Comments: I met this man on match.com, after talking to him for a week, his profile was taken off, and he said that it was because he found the woman of his dreams. He claims to have lost both of his parents in a plane crash, as they were on their way back from Australia looking for his mothers long lost sister. He says that he moved to michigan from Alabama because of the hot weather. He has asked me for banking information to have money wired to so that I may Western Union it to Lagos Nigeria. I called a travel agency to verifty the hotel that he says he is staying at, and no luck. When I wrote to him to tell him that I couldn't send him my banking information, he pulled me into a guilt riden I love you and you're my world drama, and why would I lie to you. I did give him the information that he requested, and am closing my account out today. There is no money in it, but I wish I hadn't been so nieve. I would like to know if anyone else knows of this person. He goes by Mark Wall born in Australia, and his email address is Markmanwall@yahoo.com. If you know of this person, or his picture, please email me at email@example.com. He knows that I'm a single mom, and ims me everyday.
I showed my friend this site to show her who she is wasting her time with. She could be with me. A guy that cares about her. That lives a few miles away and knows her family and friends. She knows my real face. But she's not hearing me. At first she got it. She was mad as hell and confronted him. He convinced her this isn't him. But we all know that it is. She thinks he loves her and they talk on the phone and chat everyday. At least I know she's not going to give him money. She never gives males money. She just won't do it. But she is wasting her time with him and she could be with me. Girls be smarter than this! I am putting her on blast hoping she will get the truth. I won't say her name but I am Frankie Velez and I hate liars, mostly when they lie to someone i like.

oh and his new emails firstname.lastname@example.org
I am so glad you put this guys picture in here. Dwayne Justin Thomas. I have been doing a search on him for 3 long days. I was very suspicious about him the day we met on the dating site True.com...lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As soon as we started talking he gave me his email address...email@example.com...the story is nearly the same. He was born in Austrailia and that his dad died when he was only 3yrs old. His mom brought him to the US when he was 15yrs old. He said his mom died 6yrs ago with lung cancer. Now he's the only one left in the whole whide world. His girlfriend stole from him and that his friend was sleeping with her so he moved on with his life. His only friend is in the military in Iraq. He also got rid of his friends because they thought there was nothing wrong with it. He said he has not dated in 3 years. He is self employed in sales for household and office appliances. He also said he moved to Michigan from Alabama 2 months ago. Right after we emailed each other, he said he had a soon coming trip to Africa to broaden his sales network. The he wanted to IM me on yahoo messenger so we could talk more. Then his email became smilingdwayne. The following week he claims there was a raid in his hotel and the everybody there was robbed. They took his wallet, wrist watch and money. He said he didnot know what he was going to do and asked me to please help him. he did not have any cash. I gave him phone numbers to call to cancel his credit cards and an international number to call for his banking institution so he could wire himself money western union. Although, he sucked me into this miserable story and that he needed money to pay the hotel bill, get a cab to the airport. I asked him what his flight name and number was...he said he would not know until I sent him the money. I asked him every personal question in the book so I could investigate him. He wanted to know why I didn't believe him and said if I wanted to help him I would. He said if he didn't get the money by tonight that the hotel manager was doing to move him into the storage area with the rats. I asked him why the robbers didn't take his computer,,of course he was on the hotel laptop??which I thought was strange..The same picuture the previous person put on here is the exact same photo on True.com...I am going to try to turn this guy in...tell your girlfriends and mom to do the same...The picture is probably someone else...Oh, he said his moms name is Eldreth Thomas...I finally found an Eldreth E. Thomas at 4480 Highland St, SE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49507, which is the exact address he gave me for himself. He was listed as a relative, along with others..even though he said his mom only had one sister in Australia that they had lost contact with...I have a lot of information if anyone is interested. firstname.lastname@example.org

This a is a nigerian scam. The photo being sent to you is not this real person. The same. The man in this phot is as much of a victim as you and I are. I have talked to America's most wanted as well as local police and the FBI. They have informed me that the people in these photos are taken from networking sites and modeling agencies. Here is the profile of what a scammer is: They're perfect. In fact, they're someone you could see yourself spending the rest of your life with. A decent person with a good job or business in search of a good, honest partner to settle down with.
You or someone you know may be dating this person online right now. However, be warned. Things aren't what they appear to be. In reality you're talking to a criminal sitting in a cybercafe with a well rehearsed script he's used many times before. He's hunting through chat rooms, dating sites and social networking sites searching for victims, looking to cash in on romance. If you are over 40, recently divorced, a widow, elderly or disabled then all the better in his eyes. Scammers are adept at psychological profiling, and use any weakness they find to their advantage.
It's the newest evolution of the Nigerian advance fee (419) scam. Instead of sending spam letters that promise millions for your assistance, these scammers are targeting single men and women who are searching for love online.
They use psychological tricks to lure their victims in, use poetry and even gifts to get them under their spell, then once you are there, will try to reach for your wallet, all the time declaring their 'undying love' for you. The scam may take the form of asking you to cash a cheque for them through your bank account because they are 'out of the country' and unable to cash it themselves, or they may come right out and ask you to send money to help them out of a fabricated 'financial difficulty' they claim to be experiencing. These are all lies used to try to make them easy money from an unsuspecting victim.
The sad truth is, for every real profile you see on the internet, there are numerous false ones pretending to be your perfect mate and using photographs stolen from modelling or social networking sites. The people in the photographs are as much victims as the people who get scammed for hundreds, thousands, even tens of thousands of dollars.Internet romance scams and other related crimes are very real, and they are affecting -- even ruining -- lives throughout the world.
The best weapon against this crime is education. The more people that are educated in the ways the scams work, the harder it is for the scammers to make money and the more scammers that can be put out of business.
Romancescam.com was formed in 2005, originally as a site to add the details of any scammers who tried to join the datingnmore.com dating site. As the list grew, more sections were added to make the site what it is today - the largest and most influential online resource against romance scammers from around the world. It has gained media attention worldwide, and has been featured on an episode of the Oprah show.
Today's romancescam.com is much more than simply a list. It features a forum with over 17000 registered users and more than 60,000 articles posted by it's ever growing membership. It also houses an impressive album of photographs used by romance scammers. You can take a test to see what the likelihood is that the person you're talking to is a scammer. There's a blog with the details of scammers that were removed from datingnmore, currently featuring around 5000 fake dating profiles that were added in less than 2 years. The latest addition to the romancescam family is scamdigger.com, where you can upload the photographs sent to you by a scammer and let it search not only romancescam's image database, but also those of several other sites. This features a database of over 80,000 photos and is added to on a regular basis.
Please take care and never send money. Whomever the man in the photo is I am sorry that you are not protected against these scammers and now the women of whom thought they were scorned by you.
