It sounded shady...then he went for the kill and asked me for money. I didn't have any so he got mad and said I didn't care about him, his romantic talk soon turned into cursing and exclamations. I offered to pray for him and he told me 'don't pray for me! Save it for your family!' I asked 'WHO ARE YOU?' and he disappeared, and surely his photo was still on the site but disappeared when I asked who he was. I was a little sad cause I wanted this guy to be real, he was so romantic and sweet, but turned into a jeckl and hyde when I didn't have money. I still wonder who's picture he stole, cause Id like to meet the real guy who's photo I saw. He's probably a victim too.

Michael also goes under the name Harris Campbell and he says he is from England He met me on My Space and said he loved me and all that good stuff but he needed money to come to America on to spend Christmas with me.He said he was a building contractor in Africa.

Mike James was supposed to live in Devon, UK and worked for a fabrics company but he was on line with me all day long so I don't see how he had time to work and talk to me as well. We spent hours on line everyday, even the weekend. Then he was supposed to go to Belgium for the company and then went to Nigeria where he was in a bus that had an accident and said many of the staff members had been killed. He needed 5000USD for the state so he could leave and come to the states to meet me. He said he retired from the company and was coming here. I did not send him any money but he was romantic and sent poems. Wanted to send flowers but I told him I didn't want any.
This is the same person that has posed as Mike Williams and Michael. It is the same person just a different pose.

Hey Girls Your Michael Brown or Peter Butterfield or whoever he is TODAY has turned up on MilitaryCupid.Com so beware I only joined a few days ago and this is the email he sent me...... I have dealt with scammers before they all mention God fearing and cannot spell to save their lives.................Good indicator they are not real or educated enough ????? to even be in the Army.

this guy convincing my sister asking her to find a way to help him out with the money he needed,balance or something from visa agency.and he sent his flight details and hs name it. but unfortunately ,he bound to bump into this clever girl which is me, i ask my sister to forward all the messages and flight details to me,and i read it over and over again, i know straight away, this guy is a scam bag bastard. but you are unlucky Mr Peter Williams as he calls himself that name coz you wont get none from my sister hahaha..You must be joking asking my sister for financial coz u are in trouble for ur visa agency,and you need your balance from the agency...hahaha..

I may have posted on the wrong page, but this page has Larry Smith on it, so I'm going to post on this one too. Larry Smith is 'dating' a friend in Australia. They met on a dating site. He says he is in the Army, based in Camp Phoenix. His phone doesnt have a camera so he doesnt send many pictures. He apparently is the ONLY American service member that DOESNT have an address. She cant send him any mail and he isnt allowed to receive care packages. He did send a picture in his uniform, how ever, the name Velez was on the uniform. So which is it? Larry Velez, or Larry Smith. Apparently its Larry Smith Velez, he just doesnt add his last name, but the army saw fit to put that on his uniform!!!!! Oh riiiiiiiight. He then sends another picture of him receiving, of all things.... a purple heart!!!!!!!!! WTF. I am so disgusted that this 'person' could use someone else's injuries and misfortunes to further his agenda of STEALING MONEY FROM PEOPLE. I do feel bad for this girl, after all, it's in the name of love, right. I dont know how many people have to tell her it's a scam before she believes it. He said he needed money to pay OFF THE OFFICERS SO THEY WOULDNT SEND HIM TO SYRIA!!!!!!!!!! And of course, he has a sick son (dont military people have health coverage, being active duty and all????)
