Ok, here's another scammer for everybody to watch out for:

His supposed name is Robin Habing, his yahoo email is robhabin@yahoo.com . He says he is 36 but when I went back and looked at his prfile on Yahoo Personals, his birthdate would make him currently 35. His screen name on Yahoo Personals is 'Sunshine Man.' I have contacted the site, but they have not removed his profile yet.

He contacted me through yahoo personals and claims to be from Berkeley, CA funny how he cannot name a single restaurant or destination around that area! lol. When I asked him about restaurants in the area he said he doesn't eat out very often and that he has a personal chef. YEAH, SURE!

Anyway, he says that his wife died in a car accident four years ago. And he has not dated anyone since her death. He moved to California from New Jersey to try and get over her. Apparently his parents are dead also, and he has no brothers or sisters.

He claims to be have his own 'Building Construction Consultancy' business, though when I googled this type of business in the bay area, none of them came up with one owned by anybody with his name.

He says he went to Lagos, Nigeria to oversea the completion of a project and would be back in 10-15 days. About 10 days in, he started talking about how there was a problem with an order he placed for supplies before he even left the US.

I have heard of these types of scams before and so when I got an email from him telling me that he had to place another order, it would cost $17,000 and he only had access to $15,000, I knew what was really going on.

I am a single mom, with four children, so I don't know why he thinks I have that kind of money anyway! hahaha

I asked him the name of the company he had placed the original order with so that I could look into it from this end and see if there were reports from other consumers about problems with that company. He got very angry and started saying I was insulting him by thinking that he didn't do his research before he placed this order and as others have reported when he is upset his grammar and English tend to deteriorate.

As soon as I 'met' this man online I had started trying to look for information about him online. I looked him up by his name, and by his email. I looked for him on Facebook, and MySpace. Interestingly enough, when I did a search for his email on Facebook, I came up with both the pic he uses in his yahoo personals profile, as well as a picture for a completely different person. When I asked him if he uses Facebook, he said no. I then told him that somebody must be impersonating him then because I found him on Facebook. The next day, the second identity had vanished from the site.

Since I didn't find any info about him by googling his name, I am assuming that he probably has not used this name with anybody else yet, but hopefully some of the details I have listed here will be enough to keep somebody else from doing something they will regret.

Ask questions people! Do your research! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

It sounds like this man is also going by the name of Robin Beardsley. He says he has a 6 yr old son named Sean and a 4 yr old son named David. He said he is an independent construction/engineer contractor rennovating a 5 star hotel in Nigeria. Same thing, 10 days in to the conversation, he asks to set up a chase bank account so his agent can send money to it. He did the I found the only one thing and stated he dropped off other sites.

Ladies, I can't stress enough that if it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true.
