My in-laws have been involved with this same guy. He first approached my mother-in-law through Myspace, and developed a relationship with her, sending her flowers and other gifts, and finally asking for money in increasing amounts to help him with his many troubles. Do you recognize any of these additional phone numb?

Also, would you please post any other pictures you have of him? Do you have any pictures of him at an airport with cases of gold? And a picture of him sitting at a desk, in a small office?

Thank you so much!

(quote) The picture that you are talking about him sitting at the desk is on the website Tagged. This is where I met him. I also know that he is on my space but he uses his real name James Searle. If you would look on the hard hat that he is wearing, you would see his name. I had another phone number of someone that he called Dr. Dan but right now, I cannot recall where I put it. I'm posting a few more pictures but not any of the conversations that we had. He is a very smooth scammer and he does send gifts sometimes. I do hope that someone bust him because he needs to be stopped.

I have determined that James Searle is a real person, in the mining business. Only the two pictures of the man in a hard hat above are actually James Searle. If you look closely at the mouth and the beard you can tell they are not the same man as the one in the other pictures. You can hear James interviewed on this website. Poor fellow probably has no idea his picture is being used like this!

His voice is definitely not the same as Musah's.

(hidden) When I clock on the link, nothing happens. I would like very much to hear the interview that James Searle is doing. Is there another link or way for me to hear it? This morning when I was online Musah was also. I still have him on my IM list. To bad this man is being used like this by someone that he probably knows and trusts.

I will try to post the link again. Somehow it did not post correctly when I copied and pasted. If it doesn't work, do a google search for Dr. James Searle and find the link that is for Redbank Mines Limited.

I do not believe that James Searle has any idea that he is connected with Musah in any way. He does not know and trust him. These scammers find random pictures online and present them as their own, just as I believe Musah did with James Searle's.

(hidden) Thank you so much for the info on the link. There is so much information on Dr. James Searle and he is definitely the man wearing the hard hat. If only he knew that someone is using his information for self gain. It is so sad what the world has come to. Thanks again.

Please tell some of the storyline that he gave you, as I would like to know if it's the same one that my in-laws got. He told my mother-in-law that he was born in Italy, was a geologist, very wealthy, who traveled the world mining precious jewels and gold. His wife left him tragically when his son was young, leaving the child alone on the living room floor, or some such thing. My mother-in-law was told that his son is now attending school in London, and she has also been in contact with him (I believe that there is no son, but this person posing as such is one of the team of scammers). Musah now was supposedly mining gold in Ghana but there were many bad people after his gold. He didn't dare leave his hotel for fear of getting beaten up, and was once in the hospital after such an incident. He asked for all kinds of money to pay for fees and taxes--so many problems that required money. And of course, for all their trouble and expense, he would give them half of the gold! Now there are many problems requiring money to help him get the gold out of Ghana and into the US.

This is the exact same story line that he gave to me. I mean every word except for the accident. He was suppose to have had an accident going to the airport leaving Ghana to visit me. He was going to call me from the airport when he arrived here and I waited to hear from him and nothing. The next morning when I logged onto my computer, there was an email from some Dr. saying he was in the hospital and he had given him my email address to contact me. He also called me and left me a number to call him whenever I wanted info on Musah's condition. And then the money requests started for hospital fees. But before the money was for the gold to get out of Ghana. The one thing that bothers me is...on the Tagged website, he uses the name Musah Iddrisu and on the facebook website, the same photo holding the gold bar is using the real name James Searle. I'm not even trying to figure this one out anymore. Since then, I have encountered several other scammers. There is just no end to what these people will try and the lines that they use to try and get to people. Musah is still on the site and I changed my name to get him to talk to me, but he will not chat at all. He accepted my invitation, but he will not come online that often or chat. Take care and stay safe.

Thank you for your reply. Maybe James Searle really has his own Facebook account! I can't find him on Tagged. How do I do that?

My mother-in-law now firmly believes that Musah is a real, genuine person, not a scammer, and that all the others around, the 'bad guys,' are ruining his life and stealing his identity. They hack into his email and phone accounts, supposedly, so are able to contact her posing as Musah. She says that he cried when she told him how much money they had sent to Ghana and that he never received any of it. Every inconsistency we point out has an explanation. She believes that the only picture that is truly of him is one where he is at an airport with boxes (of gold?) around him. Do you have that one?

Also, what finally convinced you that he is a scammer? Did his supposed son in London ever contact you and call you Mom, or something similar?

Thanks for your help.
