I am a moderator on We deal with African and Russian scammers. This one's American. We thought perhaps he's get better exposure here.

I've always felt it was only a matter of time before lowlife American criminals jumped on the African and Russian scammer bandwagon.

Almost 2 years ago I worked with a victim who'd been scammed by a Nigerian. I baited and outed him to find he was a 17 year old, scrawny school boy. I got him on cam in his underwear, which was more proof than the victim needed to shut him off and stop sending him money. She went off wiser and vowed never to correspond with someone overseas and always check IP addresses. She's in Washington state. She's kept in touch with me via IM occasionally.

About 8 months ago she hooked up with what she thought was a nice looking 43 year old black guy on (he's also on Myspace pretending to be 37, but she didn't know that then). Still, the usual alarm bells went off and she did her homework to be certain he was really who he said he was. Mychael T. Moss,, verified to really be in Kentucky. His phone number: 270-970-1891.

Even though KY is several states away from Washington, as they seemed to hit it off, she took a gamble. They carried on a romantic internet relationship until just before Christmas when they decided it was time to meet. He promised to come see her for Christmas.

After months of sweet talking romance, in the second week of December, he sent her a text message and told her he'd been laid off from his job and didn't have enough money to get to her. She balked at sending him money (he asked in text messages to her phone) and he emailed her this:

Instead he disconnected his phone and stopped answering her emails and chats. When he didn't show she started investigating him and discovered he'd given his address as 412 east south street mayfield ky 42066, when it was really 410. She hired an investigative service and discovered he aslo likely has a criminal record. She found his brother's name, address and phone number too, so she phoned his brother. The brother knew all about her - AND he knew about other women in Florida and Phoenix, AZ as well. Then Linda knew for sure she'd been scammed.

She wants to post him up because she thinks he's doing this same thing to other women and keeping his funds under $500 so no one takes legal action. I suspect she's right and he's probably thinking a lot of little payoffs in the scam pipeline will fly under the legal radar. She knows she can take him to court and get a judgment on him for the amount plus her court costs which will probably be around $250, but it's likely the judgment won't be enforced in his state unless she pays extra to have it filed there. She and he both know it's not worth that trouble.

This guy also pretends to be relgious.

We'd like this petty theif exposed to protect others from being exploited.
