Had been talking to 'James Ramos' for about a week did not know about scams and then asked me to send $1500 to Achimota
Ghana to sirrue.diplo234@gmail.com so this diplomat could bring all his worldly possesions to me from Iraq to look after until he arrived home in August. I emailed the diplomat and he sent me an address which I googled and it brought me to your site. I then emailed 'James Ramos' who was also supposed to Western Union $1500 to this person told him I suspected this to be a scam and have not heard from since. I have since researched James Ramos who does exist in the States and believe he is the victim of identity theft however am not sure where to take it from there. I also have had five other conversations with people on match.com all male four of which are US Army who as soon as I mention scam and what happened they disappear. Is this common?

I have been talking to Samuel Erison who is listed as a scammer. and he says his sons name is Kelvin erison, who is listed as another scammer. I did not know about this until I googled his name and it took me to this sight. He to says he is in the US Army and is stationed in Iraq. He says his son is in ghana living with caretakers. His wife also died in a car accident. And now he is asking me to send his son some money. when I said that I did not have any to send he is now not contactiong me. I e-mailed him back to tell him that I would send some money because I felt bad that I would not help him, but not much because I don't have much. That's when I googled hiim and found this sight. I am still waiting to hear form him. If I do, I certainly will not send any money. This is a disgrace and I will tell him so. I do have pictures of him but is attacheed to an e-mail he sent me. Could be the same guy, but I'm not sure. Anyway, be careful out there.

I was contacted through an ad on Craigslist from someone named John t Owen. He said that he had moved away from my away but wanted to purchase my item but wanted to purchase my item. He said that he was sending a moving company to pick up the item but needed my help to pay the moving company. My item was being sold for $125 and he sent me a check from dabson college on massachusetts for $2500. He asked me to keep the $125 for my goods plus an extra $100 for my troubles, then he wanted to western union the remainder to a 'John Ramos' in CA. I went to my and asked to verify the funds with the bank before I risked cashing the check. The bank
Called the bank listed on the check 'century'. They were given a number to call which I called and then I spoke to a man names John who spoke very broken english and the only part of what he was saying that could understand was 'please send me $2500'. I told him I was with the FBI and he hung up. This is obviously a scam I will contact the FBI today. If you have been a victim of this asshole I suggest you do the same or this scammer will continue to rip off innocent people.

Am being romanced as we speek by Sgt John Ramos, wanting me to bring him home he keeps sending Aarons pic's, what a looser, I keep him talking it is so much bull, not sending any money I know it is a scam, amusing for me. Also fell in love with Aarons picture, sad that these people do this. I hope they are all caught and sent to prison, I have military in the family and thought i was talking to someone who was real. until I started doing some snooping on line. so stay away from sgtjohnramos@yahoo.com and flirt web site there are many of these people on there. Sad when lonely women are used this way.

To: 2012-03-02, 10:43:04 bryans61162@yahoo.com from United States >>> You might wanna ask your Sgt. Ramos in Ghana if he's visited Madame Esther's recently ?! Here's a Ghana advisory published by the United Nations World Health Organization for those of you anticipating a trip to Ghana or expecting an intimate visit from someone anytime soon.

The growing sex-trade phenomenon thrives in Ghana and is thought to be the primary source for the Herpes Simplex Virus Type 2 (HSV-2) approaching epidemic levels. According to the UN World Health Organization, Ghana is one of several West African countries with a very high risk factor for this newly discovered Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) prevalent among commercial sex workers. Prostitution is one of the oldest profession. It is also called the commerce of sex. In Ghana it's called 'ashawo' (in Twi). Prostitutes offer men a good time by offering sexual favours for money or gifts. In Accra alone, there are over 120 known active brothels where no safeguards are in place to prevent the spread of STDs, since prostitution is illegal in Ghana. Drive through some of the prominent areas in Accra (around the residences of the British High Commission) and you will see all kinds of prostitutes chasing men. By early evening corridors around many of the brothels are filled with long queues of young sex workers and their clients.

Cross-generational sex—or the 'Sugar Daddy syndrome'—is a pattern of sexual behavior in Ghana between young women and older men that brings increased health risks and consequences for these younger women. In most cases of cross-generational sex, these young women are usually unmarried; their male partners are much older. It is basically a cultural thing. Women in Ghana are valued by their body, and so a woman's major assets are her beauty and her appearance. A man should be free to express to women his admiration', says Ms Betty Akumatey, a Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Ghana, Legon.

Although most cross-generational complimentary sex is based on a commonly accepted practice for the exchange of favors or material goods, it is different from commercial sex. Research on the practice has been conducted because the behavior is associated with a higher risk of STDs. Data show that young women ages 21 to 31 are three times more likely to be infected than young men the same age. It is clear that in much of West Africa, young women are bearing the brunt of the herpes epidemic. The association of cross-generational sex with unsafe behaviors and STD risks makes the practice a priority for attention in Ghana. While there is much work to be done, this program has successfully involved concerned communities in its efforts.

Although, prostitution in Ghana is illegal and frowned upon by a number of civil society organizations and gender activists alike, the industry is thriving with creative marketing gimmickry to insure frequent client visits. Madame Esther, who plies her trade with some of the finest brothels in Accra, disclosed special promotions are essentials these days due to increased competition. An all-inclusive rate provides those clients with strong libidos all the sexual pleasure desired within a time frame. Another brothel owner, Maa Adwoa, has another novel idea which includes loyalty cards, group sex parties and going out with clients on special occasions. More and more women are moonlighting into the Ghanaian prostitution industry because they find it tough to eke out a living with their low-paid jobs, according to some of the prostitutes. Because of the large number of young women now opting to work in the sex industry, has led to 'price dumping' with prices that have fallen to as low as GH¢10 [cedis] per night. The bargain pricing perceived by many has stimulated a flourishing 'sex traffic' industry unmatched anywhere in the world. Madame Maame Esi who manages a popular brothel says she keeps a bevy of more than 70 young women fully employed with cut prices and added free extras. The Madame says with the bargain pricing her regular clientel are now visiting for two or three libidos a week now as compared to only once or twice in the past.
