Name: John Reed
Address: Dallas, Texas
Other Comments: I met this person on a dating site. 50 y.o., engineering degree, widowed, one daughter, no living relatives. The first time I spoke with him, he told me that his daughter is having her 19th birthday on April 11th, and she wants a laptop and an iPhone for birthday presents. She is leaving to go to school in England in 2 weeks. He then asked if I would like to give his daughter either an iPhone or a laptop. He was upset when I said I don't know him or his daughter well enough to be giving such an expensive present. He said that would be my way of showing him that I trust him. The next day, he was asking for a $3,000.00 loan to finish his contract job. I denied both of his requests and yet, the third time we spoke, he asked me to buy him a PayPower card at WalMart and send him the PIN right away. I refused to do what he asked and he got angry with me. I didn't even know what PayPower card was until I researched it. I quickly ended contact with this person.
I too was scammed by 'John Reed' with promises of love and he will pay me back. Ladies.. beware..In 2011, his supposed daughter Lois was away at some college and he was contracting in Nigeria. His machinery broke and he needed money to pay for it and get out of the country. Please don't fall victim to this low-life!
