Scammers steels photos online basically every where people lays out pictures as Facebook,My space ,dating sites etc. scammers do also abuse pictures that victims has sent to the scammers ,as scammers goes under both male female profiles too..

Scammers from West-africa uses in their female profiles mostly celebrities, photo models and porn models pictures to scam men with..when it comes to male profiles i have seen lots of ordinary pictures of men abused in scams..but the most part it is celebrities, photomodels and also military personel ..

Well as you are an female in this case i do not think you need to worry that your pictures will be abused unless you meet the preferences as i mentioned under female profiles...

scammers do unfortunately threats victims when money is not sent to them and can report victims as scammers and use the photos in that case also it have happened to victims more uncomfortable things as the victim has showed up on webcams and has exposed them self with intimate things to the scammers that has recorded the sessions and threaten the victims to publish on you tube if they do not send money...

I am SO SAD to see this. I have been IMing this guy for the last 4 days. He has been so sweet. He does answer questions and sent pics (some of which are listed above). Even one of his supposed son. He is currently saying he is George Garrett from San Antonio Texas and is in the Army but currently stationed in Afghanistan and is going to be coming home soon. We haven't reached the point where we was asking for money or personal info. But he started talking quickly about how much of a match we were.

He was on match.com

I am attaching a pic he sent me that isn't above.

I am sorry that you have met a online scammer that wants only steel your hard earned money,BUT be happy you are not the one who is going to be scammed as you did your home work and did researches on this guy and ended up on this site and realized you are talking to an scammer .Do not inform what you know or confront him that you know he is a scammer ,he will never admit his crimes ,he will probably deny and tries to convince you with all kind of stories or just takes off.

These scammers that originates from Nigeria or Ghana knows what they are doing ,this is what they are doing for their living scams people all day long from an internet cafe in Lagos or Accra,This is how the scam begins with charming mails of love everything to groom the victim ..it takes usually 4-6 weeks before you will get an question of money, imagine how much energy you will spend before that on this illusion person who do not even exist for real.

So please post the scammers emailaddress and his introduction mail he sent you ,it iwill help other victims online to avoid get scammed.

This guy is a big big scammer !
they write me at last for 4 months with a big love letters and online daily skype call and webcam talk
I supposed immediatelly the men in webcam was a video since when they call me theyr mouse was closed .When they call me the accent was african but when they understand they change the men
I fully understand was nigerian with a full collaborations and support of UK man.
The follow are all picture.Be aware they are not in afghanistan since I make long research with military support and they are in ghana -togo and daily scam thousand of woman
The all mail coming from this internet company :
Uk // Banghladesh//Togo/I have all data if is interesting!!!
In any case US /FBI are so well know about that since they scam thousand womans
dont be scammer of such of type of criminal !whose pictures of Leading Seaman Stephen Murphy, HMS Cornwall, Royal Navy, UK,have been hijacked and much abused by scammers.
Be very suspicious if you never get to actually speak with the person on the phone or are told you cannot write or receive letters in the mail.
Servicemen and women serving overseas will often have an APO or FPO mailing address. Internet or not, servicemembers always appreciate a letter in the mail.
Be aware of common spelling, grammatical or language errors in the emails.
Deployed Soldiers are compensated very well with special pays, bonuses and tax exemptions. It is not uncommon for a Soldier of any rank to realize a “third paycheck” when they are deployed. And a Soldier always has access to his/her money in one way or another. How can these scammers have access to the internet to troll dating sites looking for targets but, cannot use the internet to purchase the items they are asking for themselves.
Also, in regards to money, there are very few places for a Soldier to spend their money while deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan. A Soldier maybe broke before or after a deployment but, a Soldier is usually pretty flush while deployed. Except, of course, if he spends all his money on the internet.
If you are still unsure if you are being scammed, ask the Soldier to send you an e-mail from their AKO account. Only Solders, a very few family members, and certain contractors have @us.army.mil e-mail address. If they refuse, tell them to take a flying leap! If they get angry with you and accuse you of not trusting them, tell them to take a flying leap!
Bottom line, NEVER send a deployed Soldier money or high-dollar value items, especially if it is to be sent to an address anywhere in Africa. All deployed Soldiers have an APO, AE, or APO AP mailing address.
To report the theft to the Federal Trade Commission, call 1 (877) ID-THEFT (438-4338) or contact the FTC online at www.ftc.gov/idtheft. Or contact the CID at www.cid.army.mil or the Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov/default.aspx.
I am inundated daily with emails and skype contact and comments from people around the world that are just scammer think to be Soldiers or Marines in a combat zone. They send pictures that don’t match the rank and service they tell me they are. I can’t tell you how many times I get emails and comments asking me to look into someone saying they are a Staff Sergeant and wearing Major rank or a supposed Colonel wearing Sergeant Major rank. Educate yourself on military ranks and uniforms and do due diligence before wasting my time with these obvious indicators. They tell you that they are assigned to a secret intelligence unit. People really assigned to secret intelligence units won’t say they are assigned to secret intelligence units.,most of these emails will come back undeliverable. If they say they can’t give it to you for security reasons, it’s a scam.
They need your help with “special leave.” This leave will usually need to be signed by a general officer and will come with additional fees. Military personnel do not need a civilian’s help with processing leave. I’m married and I don’t even need my wife’s help if I want to take leave. It doesn’t cost military personnel a single penny to take leave – EVER!
Often time, these scammers are such complete morons, they’ll send multiple pictures of different people and claim to be the same person. If it doesn’t look right, it isn’t.
Uses a sob story about being a widower (usually say widow).
Most of the photos these guys steal are from married troops and will contain photos with kids or a woman.
To explain these images away, they “kill off” the spouse somehow and pull on the heartstrings with sob stories of having to raise children alone.
Most obituaries are published online and a simple Google of obituaries will prove this scam. Hearing all these stories, one would think that the most dangerous place in the world isn’t Afghanistan, but it sounds like the truth is America’s roads. Please keep in mind that the real Soldiers – if, in fact, these names were real – are not the scammers, but criminals using their names and images.
