Just wanted everyone to know, I have been talking to him off, and on for about 2 weeks, and I found this page tonight, and confronted him. He couldn't get out of it, so he ask me if I wanted to see the real him, and I said sure. Well, to my surprise this is not a guy ladies, this is a girl scamming everyone, she would not show me her whole face, I got to see here from the eyes up. So, just to let everybody know, you are not even dealing with a guy, you are being scammed by a girl.
So Beware of Her!!

Most of all I think it's so terrible and disgusting, that some people steal photos of probably absolute innocent people and use these for such awful scams.... The poor men shown on the photos.
Es ist besonders verwerflich das andere Menschen, Fotos von wahrscheinlich unschuldigen Menschen für ihre scams benutzen... Die armen Männer die hier gezeigt werden

This guy has said he is SGT Ivan Lopez with the US Army. Says he is in Syria now and is getting ready to retire. Have talked to him for 2 months. He has asked m He to send him a IPhone. He gave me an address to a UN delivery company that would pick up the package in Ghana and deliver to him in Syria. He gave me the email address of delivery company and they gave me an address to mail to in Ghana. He stated all APOs were blocked for security reasons. I actually checked into it but it was ridiculously expensive, could not do it. He stated he was one of thirty soldiers world wide that was chosen for this peace keeping mission. He said his late wifes name was Jasmine and he met her online so he wanted to see if he could find true love online again. Could not tell me what she died from, he got choked up when trying to tell me. Says he also has an adopted son that is now 18 yrs old and is in college in London. We have been talking on Gmails 'Hangouts' after talking on Match.com. I had been on there less than 24hrs, had never been on a dating sight before. He wanted me to cancel my profile and asked for my password so he could do it for me. I told him I could not give him that because it is also my banking password, which he seemed to accept okay. Needless to say, it was not my banking PIN# but did not want to give him my password. However, I did cancel my subscription to Match.com after just paying for it.
We continued to talk and of course he loved me and couldn't wait to get home and marry me. He wanted a big wedding. He seemed to take the news about me not being able to send a phone ok, but over the next month he would have comments about how he wanted the phone so he could hear my voice. It is now at the point of his supposed retirement date and he just had a big meeting with his commander a few days ago and he can leave the mission early and retire if he pays for his own flight. The UN has total control of his money until he gets back to the US to sign release papers, therefore; he does not have access to funds. He needs me to wire the funds to him and he will be with me within 3-4 days. I told him I did not know how I could possibly do this unless I took it out of my sons college fund (who by the way, is in ROTC in college is going into the army as an officer, so this really hurts!!). He seemed to be okay with that and said he would pay it back immediately. I guess I am super naïve and did not see the signs until his last email. He sent me a beautiful email that had part of a poem in it...Your heart has a beauty that I have found in no other...etc.. I googled it to see who the author was and a lot of scammer links came up. I was shocked to say the least to find him! He sent some of the pictures you have on here and some more..I will attach them. Look out ladies, apparently he has been at this for a long while and he is good or she or whatever.. Thanks to this site! Luckily, I never sent a dime but my feelings are hurt! This “man” is still at it, met him on an online dating site claiming to be Joel Lopez Command Sergeant Major stationed at Camp Qargha, Afghanistan. He has been emailing no stop for a week now stating he is 55 from Miami, FL, widowed for 8 years now after losing his wife Debbie and two sons in a car accident. He has been telling me he is retiring after 30 years of military service on 8 weeks and that God has brought us together. A graduate of West Point and an only child, whose parents are now deceased. Red flags started quickly, as the text flow/grammar is of someone who does not have English as a first language but than is very articulate about love, himself, and Gods plan. I researched several to find they were probably cut and pasted off the web. When questioning his Army background none of the timeframes matched up and the “Generals” he was meeting with had retired in 2016. He asked a couple days ago to send him and his “troops” a care package for his upcoming 4-15 birthday, which included candy, cookies, teddy bear, Axe Body spray and bath gel, a white bath towel??, a framed photo of me for beside his bed, and a ring, wristwatch, or necklace??? When I questioned the items he became very distraught and stated I didn’t trust him. He was definitely correct there!!
LADIES BEWARE!!! He’s #8 on the Top Scammers using this poor guys photos. He is using the email Hotc126@gmail.com and phone #402-888-6859.
