Hello everybody,

hope you can help me with this!
I am talking to this guy since 12th July. I met him at Icony dating line.
He said he is an US Soldier based in Kabul. He joined Military School with 16 and was in Iraq and Afghanistan (second time now)
Had a bad relationship and has one son Felix, 15 years old
Started with asking me to send some stuffs like shirts, shorts, chocolate etc. Shame on me I sent him a package! Delivery address was in Ghana where his Diplomat has his business. As he wanted to pick up the package I had to pay another 100 Euro duty fee! What I finally did because I wanted him to get the package! After that his son living in UK had a bad accident and needed a surgery. First he wanted me to fly to London! Then he asked me if I could help him with the bills cos his son is not an citizen of uk and they wouldnt help before getting the bills payed! But I couldnt help what I finally told him. So he found an other way to 'help' his son!! The next attack was that he wanted to send some valuable things to Germany. And no wonder, guess what happened: the customs wanted 4.500 Euro for getting the valuable things out - and he asked me for 2.500 to help! Again I gave him a negative answer!
Now the last try was that he had to go to a 'risky' mission between dead and alive! After talking to his General he needed 1000 Euro to replace his name from the list!
I promised him to give him the money in the next 10 days, but didnt pay! He tried to contact me the day before I wanted to do the payment but I ignored him! 2 days later hes General called me and left a message, that I will never see him again cos I didnt made the payment! Since then he didnt contacted me again!
But the strangest thing was: I saw him two times on cam and it was a white person looking like the guy from the pics he sent me!!!!
So is this a damned scammer or not?

I am sure that this guy has no idea his photos are being used, all the ones he sent me were different but it is undoubtedly the same guy. I figured he was not for real after the first email; supposedly a very well educated man who could not spell, had may grammatical errors and avoided questions pertaining to his PTSD from his 'bad time in Desert Storm.

Oh, he also said that he had parents that had a jewelry store and that was what he wanted to do when he retired at the end of the year. He also pretends to be very religious, very overboard and sad that he was cheated on by the wife of over 20 years who he adored; but had no children. He also stated that he was an only child raised in boarding schools as his father was military and his mother a nurse. He will also text prior to making contact via Yahoo messenger and begged me to use only that method of communication as it was scrambled by the US army, and other means of communication weren't. He never asked for money, but I felt something was not right due to the spelling and his list of credentials - which I looked up online, all the schools exist, but he is not listed among the alumni; said he didn't have time for that. Used 'andyjames894@yahoo.com' to email...said they were being attacked one time and that was why he could not chat any longer; I asked far too many questions and would have liked for him to have gone as far as to ask me for money. Can Interpol do anything about this guy. What about the guy whose photos are being used?

It is very hard to catch these scammers as they are doing these under fake profiles and uses fake IPs,but it is good though to report scams to the police as no one would know if crimes have been commited unless people file reports on these scammers.

I think I read somewhere online that the real owner on the photos are aware that his photos are used in scams, but it is impossible to stop these scammers from doing this as once used it is very difficult to stop that as long as the photos are lucrative for their business they will continue using them .

I only started talking to him on August 11, 2014 and on August 22. he asked me if I could send him a care package but not to his Army base but to him home in Pillager Mn.. because of security reasons... He said that some from the army would go and pick it up and deliver it to his base in Borden...Well I have hear of these scammers before, so that was it for me.. I am through talking to him and I would advise any woman not to fall for the men that are good looking in a uniform... No way would I ever send money to some I just met so please ladies don't let your heart get in the way of you losing all of you hard earned money... This picture that is posted has many different names and the real man is the real person being hurt...
