I have communicating with a man met on a dating site, He stated he is a Sgt (James Collins) serving in Afghanistan. He sent pictures, all seemed legit and he was charming. Was I affected by his charm, oh yeah! Things were going well until a few days ago when he asked me to send a laptop computer and Iphone 5 to his 8 year old daughter in Ghana. After some investigating…there is a great deal of scams out there using our military as bait to catch unsuspecting single women. He said he would pay me back when he was back in the states. Please spread this information out there…ladies beware. No one should ask you for money…the military are well taken care of and they can place their own orders, call and skype with you, etc. I move on….my revenge is to get this information out there.. Thanks for spreading the word.

I recently (May 2017} saw this man on OURTIME.com. He was veryyyyyyyyyyyy charming, I am not a newbie and have been around the block a few times, so no not young. But he started texting me and was going so fast, and his English was a mess although he stated he was from Maryland, USA but in Indiana on business, nothing about military. Came to US from Germany when he was 12, parents died. Found his wife in bed with a guy, divorced her, then said he was a widow with no children, then sends me a pic with himself and a kid. Got no response for that when I asked who the kid was. Then as I am reading his texts, I am looking on our time and he has SIX profiles set up, so I let him keep going with all his BS. And then decided to call him out on one, then I found him on Facebook, same pic as above blue shirt beer in his hand. Although he claims he did not drink. I then demanded we speak on the phone due to the fact that he was texting at record speed. He said he can no longer talk to me as I am not being honest. LOL... I said nothing. 15 minutes later he says 'babe, are you still there should we start off where we ended' I was laughing so hard, told him to eff off. But all of a sudden all his profiles started coming off of our time, every one was down. So yeah I signed up for one month and ended the month. I am going to stick to meeting people in real time. so many scammers out there, big waste of time. Yuck. He was also on Match with a very hot picture laying on the beach. I mean beautiful. And way too young to be 56 as he said he was. SO yeah beware ladies. He is Not real. Not even close.

The man showing in previous comments as James T Collins was presented to me as Rick on OurTime. We corresponded via text quite a bit. I thought he was nice, at first, but my suspicions rose when he was so lovey-dovey so quickly. He sent me the pictures shown - the one of him sort of angled sitting next to another army man. He also sent me the picture of him with the dark sunglasses on, in his camouflage uniform, near a window, with fingers in a peace sign. He also sent me a pic of him, in a blue long sleeve shirt, holding a framed picture of me. When I looked at these posts, I realized the original pic was of him holding a beer, NOT a picture of me. When I mentioned all of this to him, he said he couldn't believe I was actually doubting him, and that he had been 120% honest with me. That was a lie like the others. He sent me several pics of his 'daughter'. Thank goodness, they did not pop up when I reverse photo searched them! I have no idea who the girl was. The final kicker was when he resent me his Florida drivers license. I looked at it closely, and noticed typos in it!!! I can't believe the FL DOT made THOSE kinds of errors!!! I also compared it to FL DOT website for format and content, and it failed again. I suspect he would have eventually asked me for money, but I uncovered his scheme before he ever had a chance to ask. I found it amazing how he skirted around my accusations and twisted it into his 'shock' of the 'kind of person' that I am. Yes, I'm not quite as stupid or gullible as he thought.

Please, anyone, be careful when using the dating sites or any online meeting places. If you sense something is not right, TRUST YOUR INSTINCT!!!
