A little over a year ago, I got scammed by this 'Agnes' person, except she/he (if it's a man pretending to be a woman while using stolen photos of models from magazines) went by the name 'Hannah Gilbert'. hat happened was, last year, in early March 2012, my ex girlfriend dumped me, and I felt her reason for dumping me is very unfair, and when she changed her Facebook relationship status back to 'single' instead of 'in a relationship', it really hurt my feelings, and I almost cried. I dealt with the breakup all the wrong ways. I resorted to eating tons of junk food, and I managed to gain give or take 25 to 30 pounds within about 9 months. I also got so desperate to find someone else that I resorted to joining almost every online dating site known to man. One of them on Facebook apps, titled 'Are You Interested'?, there was a photo of a beautiful woman who on that site went by the codename 'jackwell', but claimed her (or his, it could have been a man PRETENDING to be a woman by stealing a photo from a model off the Internet) name is Hannah Gilbert. This so-called Hannah Gilbert gave me her/him phone number, said to text her/him, but never answered the phone when I tried calling to find out what the person's voice sounded like. She/he claimed that the reason for never answering the phone (with a Florida area code by the way, and I live in Florida) is she/he was in Florida when I first started talking to him/her, but 'temporarily' went to Nigeria to visit an aunt with cancer, and by being in another country, her/his phone wouldn't take international calls, which was the claimed reason for never answering the phone. Now that I think about it, that sounds like a bunch of bs. I know a guy from South Africa who goes there to visit his relatives on some weekends and holidays, and while he's there, HIS phone takes calls from the U.S. all the time. After a month or so of talking to this 'Hannah Gilbert' both on yahoo messenger AND in text messages, she/he claimed that she/he was now in Nigeria, and the only way to relocate to the U.S. to be my new lover is if I sent her/him money via Western Union, and then she/he would pay me back when she/he got back to the U.S., and of course, I wasn't aware of these types of scams back then, and I fell for it. I sent every single dime of $179 that I got for my birthday from various relatives including my grandma. When I was told by him/her the plane ticket to relocate would cost about $400 or so, I said I only had a total of $179, and she/he said that that's okay, and the so-called aunt with cancer would pay for the rest. After sending the money, she/he claimed that there was a problem that came up at the last minute, and she/he came up with an excuse to need more money, and I didn't have any left at that point. I lied to everyone, my family, friends, and even on my statuses on Facebook. I concocted a story about how I met 'Hannah Gilbert' at a local diner, when in reality, I never met her in person before, and eventually, when I had no more lies to cover up for previous lies, I came clean and told everyone the truth. Then, I deleted 'Hannah Gilbert' off my Facebook friends list, blocked her on Facebook as well, changed my number so she/he couldn't text me anymore, blocked her/him on yahoo, etc. It was a BIG problem, and there's even more to my story, but I think you all get the picture. The scammer's email (though I blocked her so she can't email me anymore) is Hannah_Gilbert1983@yahoo.com. 'Hannah' also told me that her/his date of birth is September 20, 1985. The Florida number 'Hannah' gave me is 386-385-4276 Hope this info helps to expose this scammer.
Here is a photo of this 'Hannah Gilbert' copied and pasted from her/his Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/hannah.gilbert.5817?fref=ts

To ALL of you guys and girls who read these postings and question the letters you get.
I have been trying to help people on here for about 4 yrs now. I know I have helped a few people from making some serious mistakes.
All you need to do is think about it before you do something STUPID.....
If it sounds to good to be true....trust me it is..
There are NO white girls like these in Ghana.......over the years I have made one friend with a real woman in Ghana.....yes she is black and a very honest person.
She assures me these girls DO NOT EXIST in Ghana......
So PLEASE think about it before you think about doing anything like sending money.
IF YOU REALLY NEED TO SEND MONEY ...SEND IT TO YOUR NEAREST HOMELESS SHELTER...THEY CAN USE IT.
