^^^^^^ Ha! Ha! Ha! That Elena Volkova is probably some Russian prostitute. They're are probably a few men behind this using her photos to scam people. C'mon people it's time to wise up. She doesn't even know that you exist and you have these men that are using her photos to scam you. Time to wake up and smell the coffee. Most of the scammers are men that are involved in the ever burgeoning Russian crime syndicate.

I can't believe what a big crock this has become. I had a woman contact me through true.com who's ad said she was from Virginia and oops I'm from Russia I was confused. After doing some research on here I have found many people with the same story. I next took some of the text from the letters and googled it and low and behold there were my letters from Alena word for word.

She went by the e-mail of diulaopo@yahoo.com
Aleyenushka Volkova
Alya or Alena

Same M.O. as most saying she lives in Gatchina and works in St. Petersburg and goes to the internet cafe. Luckily I found out before anything got to far with only a couple e-mails exchanged and hadn't even gotten to the point of asking about money. I don't think there is a honest woman in Russia with everything I have been reading about on here. And people say that me being so suspicious and skeptical is a bad thing. When it comes to these women its the best thing. AND FOR OTHER MEN LOOKING AND WONDERING ABOUT IT, IF YOU'RE EVEN HAVING TO LOOK TO WONDER THEN ODDS ARE ITS A SCAM.

She said the same thing to me about being confused when she did the profile. But with me she was California. I have already posted at a couple of other sites. Just that things did not add up.

I'm a single American man in Seattle. I responded to an ad in MeetRussianBrides dot com for a 24 year old girl with long brown hair named 'Yuliya Pp' (that last name seems strange; she has never given me more of a surname than that). We have been e-mailing each other a lot, and she's sent a lot of photos. I'd post some of them here, but I don't know how to upload a photo from an e-mail attachment (any help out there on that?) Yuliya's e-mail address is ulchikp@yandex.ru (by the way, this e-mail address appears on a scam website, but with no explanation. It's just with a bunch of other addresses that supposedly have been used in scams).
Yuliya claims to be a children's doctor in Russia. She says she lives in city of Yoshrar-ola (Yoshkar-ola?). Anyway, what caught my eye about Yuliya in the first place was that her ad said she was coming to America soon on a student visa to take a test to be accepted to study to be a doctor in America. So I thought, if she's coming here anyway, it'd be an inexpensive way for me to meet her.
What made me suspicious about a scam was that when I Googled Yoshrar-ola (Yoshkar-ola?), I came up with references to Russian dating scams. I've been researching these scams, and I've been finding in the 'fraud letters' on these sites quite a few of the exact phrases from her original letter to me.
But all of the photos she's sent me seem to be non-professional, and mostly non-sexy. And while she's pleasant looking, she's no beauty queen or sex goddess. And she seems to be sincere. I have not found a photo of her, or her name (such as it is) on any scam sites. She has not asked me for any money, and she claims she wants to meet me here in Seattle and stay here a week before she has to go to Boston to take her medical student tests. She says she has already bought her ticket for her flight to Seattle. It's from JFK (which makes sense, if she's arriving to America from Russia), and it's a Delta Airlines flight which arrives in Seattle on Sunday night, April 29. I checked out the flight # she gave me, and it is a real flight from JFK which is scheduled to arrive at the time she gave me (but I realize, of course, that info like this is readily obtainable on the internet).
One more thing that I thought a little strange--all of her emails have been signed simply 'Yuliya' except one, which was signed 'Oksana.' I asked her about that, and she said the name on her passport is Yuliya, but she was christened 'Oksana,' and a lot of her friends call her that. Also, she seemed to too readily proclaim her love for me.
So, this has a lot of the earmarks of a scam, but as I said, she's asked me for no money. Any comments or suggestions?

To the person talking about Yuliya (ulchikp@yandex.ru) I can show you a Web site that has most of the pictures that she probably sent you. This is a very professional scammer that has used many different names and tactics in the past. Now she is using the 'coming to America' scam to reel you in and then tell you that she could not come for any reason so you say that you will help her if she needs it.

According to her story to me, she is flying on April 27th from LA to arrive to Boston on April 28th in the morning. The funny thing is that she is supposed to fly from Russia (Mari-el) all the way to L.A. but she was still connected to the Internet this afternoon (April 27th), probably talking to many other of the victims that she is trying to scam.

Something you people need to know: THERE ARE PLENTY OF SCAMMERS WORKING FROM YOSHKAR-OLA IN THE REPUBLIC OF MARI-EL, RUSSIA. THESE ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE AND THEY ARE PROBABLY NOT EVEN WOMEN. BE CAREFUL IF SOMEBODY FROM MARI-EL (YOSHKAR-OLA) TRIES TO CONTACT YOU. CHECK THE SOURCE ADDRESS BY READING ALL THE HEADERS ON THE EMAIL SENT TO YOU.

Another photo that Yuliya sent me. It looks more like the one she sent in blue than the one she sent me first (with blue eyes). I guess that she forgot the kind of pictures she was using with me ;-)))
An amazing transformation, if you ask me :-)))

Update on my 4-19-07 posting above ('I'm a single American man in Seattle...'). Yes, my 24-year-old Russian girl 'Yuliya Pp' is a scammer. The 2 photos posted immediately above (by 'anonymous,' 4-27-07), are of the same girl I'm talking about; I received the same photos from her, along with a lot of others.

My new friend Marvin Gonzalez at Cecil_G_63@Yahoo.com, is a frequent and helpful contributor to this site. My original posting about 'Yuliya' on this site, on 4-19-07, was in a different topic forum: 'Is This Russian Girl Scamming Me? How To Recognize Scammers.' (On that same date I also posted my exact same comment in this topic forum). Anyway, Marvin posted a long reply to my original posting in the 'Is This Rusian Girl Scamming Me' topic forum. With Marvin's help, I've learned the following about 'Yuliya':

I asked her in one of my letters about her last name, 'Pp.' She responded that her real last name is 'Ivanova.' I'm sure this is a fake too.

I found 'Yuliya' on RomanceScam.com I was looking at their posted photos, and I found 'Yuliya's' pic on page 115 of the Russian Scammers section. Here's what they have for her:

Elena
Nicks: Elena, Lenchikkk

E-mails: elenochka23@gmail.com, vo.elena@gmail.com

IP address: 217.107.237.72

Mari El profile, from Yoshkar Ola

Now, because of her correspondence with me, we know another name she uses: 'Yuliya Ivanova' ('Yuliya Pp' on MeetRussianBrides.com)

We also now know that she also uses the e-mail addess: ulchikp@yandex.ru and an IP address different from above.

I found her again on RomanceScam dot com, on page 149 of the 'Russian Scammers' section, this time under 'Yuliya' and 'Beautttyyyy', with the ulchikp@yandex.ru e-mail address that she uses with me.

'Yuliya' finally got around to asking me for money; at first she said she needed $800 to show to Russian customs officials to ensure that she had funds for her return flight to Russia. (This is a sure-fire scam tip-off). She finally said she had all the money she needed except $260. I've steadfastly told her I can send her no money. I think she's given up.

Further update and info about 'Yuliya' (see my comment immediately above, and also the pics posted by 'anonymous' immediately above that. Also, see my original comment on her I posted 4-19-07).
As I said in my last posting, I kept replying to her that I could send no money. But although in some of my letters to her I posed questions about some things I was 'confused' about, I never told her that I suspected she's a scammer. I don't want her to change her name and tactics. But now everyone who reads the postings here about 'Yuliya' (or 'Elena,' whatever name she uses) is on to her. I think she's finally stopped writing to me, because she sees that I really am not going to send her any money. But I'm sure she's continuing her scamming ways.
In my last few letters to her, after she started hinting about (and finally directly asking for) money, I wrote her that because of her money troubles, her planned trip to America (and side-trip to Seattle to meet me) surely must be delayed; but I said that if she somehow ever is able to come here (which will never happen for a young single Russian girl unless she and her American man go through the difficult and tedious process of obtaining a fiance visa for her), to be sure to let me know her new date of arrival at the Seattle airport and new flight info!! :))))
I found her, as I said in my first posting, on MeetRussianBrides. I think this is a legitimate site, but scammers use it too. I think I'll eventually report 'Yuliya' as a scammer, though I have reservations about doing this because it'll most likely tip her off that her new alias has been found out.
As Marvin points out in his postings, a great way to check on possible scammers is to look at the 'full header' of the e-mails they send (go to the options section on your provider's home page and you'll be able to see how to do this. It's as simple as 2 mouse clicks!). If you see things like 'X-Mailer' and 'The Bat!', as I saw in 'Yuliya's' headers, that's an obvious tip-off that she's a scammer. Marvin says they also can use things like CommuniGate Pro and other mass-mailers (see Marvin's postings). These others I've just mentioned aren't always clear-cut signs of a scammer, because legit Russian women can use internet cafes that may use these also.
And, do a trace on the IP addresses (a series of digits and dots) shown in the full header. Just Google 'IP address look up' and you'll be led to sites on which you can do this. See if one of the IPs can be traced back to or near the city that the Russian woman claims to be writing from. As Marvin points out, if 'Mari-El' or 'Yoshkar-ola' shows up, it's likely a scam. Below is the full header from one of Yuliya's e-mails:

Also, Google phrases from her letters (especially her first letter to you) and see if 'scammer alert' websites come up.
After I realized that my 'Yuliya' was a scammer, I noticed that in all of her letters to me, everything she wrote was double-spaced except for portions in which she tried to answer specific questions I had asked her; these portions were single-spaced. Obviously scammers use form letters, and merely drop in a few lines where they need to 'customize' for their specific intended victims.

Romance Scam dot com is a good site to do a check for your suspected scammer. It's a long tedious process going through the photos there, but that's how I found 'Yuliya.' The site also has forums and comments which can be searched for names and phrases, and many comments and forums have photos of girls that perhaps are not in the main 'photos' section. For a Russian peasant like Julia, scamming has beccome second nature.
She is very versatile and she is hooked on yahoo personals with the United States as her key target.
Please add this info that she is also known as Natalya Usynina with this e-mail address; farimoala@yahoo.com.
Her pics can be viewed on ; http://photos.yahoo..farimoala
here are some of her love writings;

What a surprise!!! You can't imagine my joy. I have checked
my mail and what did I see there - a letter from you. Thank
you so much for your very nice message. I really enjoyed
reading it.
I would like to continue our correspondence very much ,
of course, if you want the same.
Though I am a little old-fashioned and I think that a man
should make the first step, but I really don't feel sorry
that I did it and had written a letter to you.
Sometimes I come to the Internet cafe to check my mail or to
find some necessary information.
And some of the windows were opened while I was checking the
information and suddenly I saw your add. And somehow you have
captured my attention.:-) I decided not to miss my chance
though I was not sure it was right and that I had to make
the first step. But I have no regrets now. I feel a little
lost and confused writing all this as you don't know me at
all and I don't know you too. But it is so pleasant to get
a letter from you.
Well, I hope you are not yet tired from my talking...
Perhaps, you wonder if I write this letters myself.
I speak and write in English rather fluently. I have been
studying in the University for 5 years.
At that period we had very difficult times in Russia, it was
very hard to find any kind of work and there were no work
places. So it was the way for me to earn some money. It was
not easy for me, I was young and my language was not very
good. Also I didn't have any language practice. But any way,
it was a good life experience. I made some friends and after
work we enjoyed our time. And we had much fun. Unfortunately
we have lost our connection. But I still have very good and
warm memories about that time.
I am afraid to make you bored with my talking. So I will
better stop here.
Aranbada, just one question for you. Why are you looking for a woman
the way like this? I think it is very good to have an Internet
as it connects people from different parts of the planet
and it is great!
If you don't like my question, you don't need to answer.
I will understand.
And now I want to wish you to have a very good day or night.
It depends on the time you will read this letter.*****
Aranbada, do you read my yesterday's letter???
Why you don't reply me???
May be don't like what I look like???...

Aranbada, please look at some of my pics
http://new.photos.y..milonasy/
************
How are you today?
I was waiting for your letter so much. I hope you already
know how much they mean for me and how I wait for them.
Unfortunately, I can't concentrate today. I could sleep yesterday
and had been crying the half of the night. I felt very lonely.
I feel better today. Please, don't worry.
Next time I will try to be stronger and keep myself in hands.
May be I am just too tired. I have to work some extra hours.
My colleague is sick and she is at home.
That's why I need to do her work too. I wished to call her,
but unfortunately I do not have phone...
I do massages instead of her. And you know it is rather difficult.
Also it is necessary to be very patient. And you know people are
different. Someone are very thankful to you for your help.
And others think that should do everything they want. They
can't understand I maybe tired too. I dream of a desert
island. Sun, blue sky, warm water and you near me. Isn't it
a wonderful dream. And nobody there, only you and me.
Well, enough of my dreaming...
Tell me something nice, please. Make me feel good. If I was
there I would make you a massage with an oil to make you rest.
You deserve. And you would pay me for it with a sweet kiss.
Dear, I want to thank you for being in my life, for giving
me an opportunity to share my feelings with you. You can't
imagine what a relief it is and how important it is for me.
I appreciate your moral support very much. I feel it between
the lines of your letters.
Please, be careful for me. I want to see your other letter
very much. And to feel your warmth.
I send you my sweet kiss for free too.

P.S. Sorry, but I have forgotten to bring today a photo with
myself in Internet cafe. I shall attach it in the following
letter.**********

Hello my dearest one Aranbada!!!

Aranbada, how are you today? As for me I am not really in the mood.
I have a feeling that I did something wrong.
I have never thought this could happen to me. That I could
fell in love with the person I have never seen in my life.
I want to less the distance between
us so much, to take your hand, to look into your eyes and
to see that you understand my naive soul. I know I shouldn't
be so open. I have to be strong and keep everything inside.
I am too emotional but I don't want you to be scared and run
away. If I could be closer to you and if I could show you my
feelings. I want you so much to see me, to feel my touch.
I would kiss your eyes and say how I love you.
Again I am acting like a silly little girl. I am mad at myself.
But at the same time I can't stop. I want you to know my
feelings. I even thought of coming to you. And I have even
went the tourist agency to check about the visas. And
now I know that the best way for me to come to you is to
get a tourist visa. It will not take much time.
And they told me at the tourist agency that I have a very
good chance to get it. And it is a very good reason for
giving me a visa. I've checked that a visa will cost $267.
(visa, passport and medical insurance)
You know with my salary I just can't afford it. And I will
need your help. It's up to you, of course. But I really hope
you will be able to help me with getting visa.
Aranbada, please, think about it and let me know.
Do you want me to come to you?
Do you want to meet with me at last? I want it very much.
Hope you too.
I will give you the information for the case you decide to do it.
The best way to send money is to do it via Western Union
or MoneyGram. It is an easy and quick way to get it.
It is necessary to know the full name of receiver.
My full name is Natalya Usynina.
And after sending money, the one who is getting money should know an
MTCN
(Money Transfer Control Number), the sum of money that was sent and the
full name of the sender.
Also you can send from money from there with a plastic card!!!
(please visit http://www.westernunion.com and http://www.moneygram.com
for more information)
Well, I hope that you will think on this information.
You have lots of food for thought.
Please, write me as soon as possible. I am waiting for
your reply.
Love you.

P.S. You can send money to any Western Union or Money Gram of
St.-Petersburg.
I work in this city, and without problems I can receive it.
