Fell in love after 3 emails and wanted airfare and visa consultant fees for New Zealand. Then suggested airfare to Malta.

Similar experience.

Notified Elena's Models, and provided the link to this page. This is the response I received:

Thank you for your message.

That man sent us the same complaint about three weeks ago, but he hasn't sent us copies of the lady's letters yet though we asked him to, so his complaint cannot be prooven so far.

We cannot accuse a person of scamming without any documental proof of it. There are some people libeling others just because of their personal dislike or insult. That's why we check whether every complaint is legitimate.

Help Desk

When I pressed the matter, pointing out the things they could do to investigate further, given, after all, this woman's profile is listed as a 'confirmed profile,' I received this reply:

Thank you for your message.

The lady provided a copy of her passport to us. So we can guarantee her personal details (name, age, address and marital status) are true. Besides, our managers talked to the lady on the phone and asked her to repeat all the submitted details and to describe the photos she uploaded before approving her profile.

Help Desk

To which my response was:

I appreciate your delving into this a little deeper. Unfortunately, copies of passports are easily forged. In this case, someone could have been using a copy of the real woman's passport. But the copy provided to you is more likely to be a forgery

Moreover, the woman behind the profile in question told me she doesn't have an international passport, which clearly doesn't comport with your records. She also said she doesn't have a home or cell phone.

It was a 'very warm' sunny day on a day when in her part of Russia it was actually cold, snowing and raining.

Little things like that do not add up.

I can almost certainly guarantee that this profile, and the person responsible for it, are fraudulent.

Once the woman reactivates her profile, I'm sure you will receive more complaints. I'm merely giving you a heads-up.

By the way, I received an additional photo I don't see here. Conversely, I wasn't sent some of the other pics that are shown here. Hmm, and the poor thing told me she didn't have any other photos of her scanned that she could send.

More photos from 'Irina'. Today, she blew it, she finished answering my letter, then added on a reply to someone else. Sorry, if you are a stockbroker and next Wednesday evening is my monthly stock meeting, you're feeling run down and your kids are with you, but you have more bad news coming. Interesting, perhaps they pick men with similar professions, situations, to make it easier to cut/paste the replies. I have taken great pleasure in writing long emails with complex English, they have always been answered by someone who is fluent in English. It must take them hours to process. I notice the last couple of emails that they are cutting their replies down to 1 sentence, rather than contributing to the conversation.

Oh, and 'she' sent a second email immediately afterwards, asking what the hell was going on, was a stockbroker sharing my email address, because my letter didn't make sense - that's a great double bluff - try and make the guy feel guilty :)

Did anyone else get allocated a phone number to ring, +79613335997, and a specific day/time? I was wondering why it was engaged when I rang, perhaps you were ahead of me in the queue. I'll email the webmaster and see if I can load the Skype recordings - I recommend PrettyMay for Skype if you want to record your scammer. One thing that is obvious in the recording, the girl never read the emails beforehand, so you can hear her frantically rustling pages, as she tries to find an answer.

Oh, I almost forgot, if you haven't broken off the correspondence, drop into the conversation at some point that you are sending a parcel, with lots of nice goodies. I promised mine is on its way already, but I hoped some Russian postal worker didn't intercept it, which I fear will happen. Don't all do it at once, otherwise that's a bit obvious, maybe coordinate on her.

It has made me realise how fluently a Russian(?) can speak English, and I like that.

Hey, I'm just assembling all the IP addresses out of the email headers, to post here. And look what I found:

X-Mailer: SecureBat! Lite (v2.12.4) Personal

'Irina' uses SecureBat! Lite. That's an email client that boots from a USB token, and encrypts all messages, so there is no trace on a local PC. That's way cool if you want to leave no evidence. Our honey is a clever girl (boy?).

Here are the IP addresses of the scammer's email client. If you find your way here via a Google search, then welcome.

Chello traces back to Russia, but the later messages at trace back to the US. Still the same SecureBat! client, so presumably they are using an ISP connection via the US.

And here is the pitch:

Ok, I've got some information already. Let me tell you. I was in the
travel agency and talked to agent about possibility to travel to New
Zealand for a vacation. He was satisfied with my choice for a vacation
and said I will have a great time and very nice mood if I like
beautiful nature. I was told about all the requirements needed to be
done to get the process complete but let me tell you everything in
it's order.

I was told also requirements for that by the agent. He told me I'll
need an international passport, some application forms to be filled
also some fees should be paid and some others.

Honey, I told you everything I was told in the agency and now it's up
to you to decide whether you want me to come to you and we could spend
some time together enjoying each other's company and knowing each
other better or not. But I want you to know that I would like to see
your country soon as will have an opportunity.

Please think about the way the agent suggested and advised as most
appropriate in our case. He gave me to read a contract that I will
have to sign to use their service. I didn't do that, I just read it.
It was told that the agency will help in getting all the necessary
documents and forms for application of a visa and will provide all the
necessary help in this process. They will give me all the information
and will support at any step. They will also help me to get an
international passport. In common words they will do everything and
all we need is to make plans of exact dates of a meeting. I was told
that we should discuss the details and they will solve all the
problems as heir experience is high enough to be sure say such loud
words. Plus manager assured me about success if we'll do everything
using their agency and the way he advised and suggested. And they will
take a fee of 10000 rubles. That is really very high but I think it is
better to use professional service with guaranties they will do
everything in proper way otherwise they wouldn't get their fees. So,
what do you think, honey? Please think again and answer me seriously:
do you really want me to be your woman? Are you serious about building
true relationship and a family with me?

Oops, looks like I've upset 'Irina' because I accused her of writing to another man. What shall I do now?

Sun, 15 Apr 2007 05:40:01 -0700 (PDT)
Received: from ([]:23561

'Irina' writes:

I don't understand you.
What is going on?
> I want to hear some explanations from you.
Some explanations from me? I get a letter from you telling something
strange as it is devoted not to me. And you are blaming me?

> You obviously are writing to another man.
Obliviously? How dare you say so? I quit my membership because of you
and you are blaming me now? I was ready you to come but you ruined

> Then you try to cover it, by making
> accusation in a second letter, once you realise your mistake.
I try to cover? I think the only mistake I did is that I answered your
letter. I'll think twice before replying your 'sincere' letters next

> I am starting to think that you are not real.
Me too. I have the same thoughts about you now. I have very big doubts
about our relationship now and how sincere you are.

> If you send me proof of your identity (scanned passport), then I will listen to your
> explanations.
I wouldn't explain anything as I didn't do anything. Of course I will
send you my passport as I know I did something wrong. It was from your
e-mail written to me and definitely it was written to someone else.
Now I want you to send me proofs of your identity. And I will wait for
your passport. If I'll get it I'll think about your attitude.

> I will put my travel arrangements on hold, until (if)
> I hear from you.
It's up to you to decide. Yes, you should better do it right now
because I'm not sure about your sincerity and until I don't figure out
this I don't want to meet you.

I'll see what happens if I beg forgiveness.
