Whatch out for this one. She's smart. She waits quite awhile before she asks for money. She will start off telling you that she will never ask you for money.About 3 or 4 months later I received an email that she met with her uncle and he agreed to lend her the money to fly to the U.S. We'll naturaly, there was a follow up letter that someone broke into her uncle's car and stole the money he so stupidly put there in plain sight so any passerby could break into the car and steal it. Could I please wire her the money and she will pay me back after she arrives here and gets a job. Same old shit! I replied that would love to wire you the money for airfare but some asshole broke into my car and stole the money I so stupidly put there for your airfare. For some reason, the scamming bitch doesn't Email me anymore.L.O.L.

Happy you found out this girl is not worth 1 kr.

This site has procedures for listing headers for e-mails received for users of gmail, outlook, yahoo, hotmail, outlook web access.

If you need help with one of these, I'll be happy to point to you.

lomminus from Iceland ...glad we could help. But there's not much you can do about the scammer, because she (he) didn't steal any money from you (which is also lucky)

As you can see from Drod's post above, when the IP address was traced, it indicates a server in the USA, which means the scammer is probably using a proxy server to hide her location from you.

Would you please post any photos you have of 'Olesya' here on this thread?...if they are new ones that we haven't seen before?

Sorry that this happened, but i promise you that there are lots of nice Russian girls on the internet who won't try and steal your money.

otherwise LYCKA TILL!

PS...a few tips about Russian scammers:

- 'girl' writes to you first on a dating site (or an email appears out of nowhere in your mailbox). Real Russian girls would hardly be that forward. Plus if they're looking for a partner, they generally prefer him to be Russian and live in Russia.
- girl's much too young for you (or too good to be true/looks like a model/porno star)
- photos are too revealing (can't be a respectable girl)
- most of the pictures old and a little bit faded. Most scam photos have a curiously grainy quality that soon becomes easy to recognise. A serious girl would go to a professional and have a photo set done, and/or borrow a digicam. Russian girls aren't that poor anymore.
- very long rambling form letters with a strange format, punctation, layout. (world's worst Babelfish copy)
- writes everyday in English (how does she have time if she's working? + most Russians can't speak a word of English)
- doesn't answer direct questions (sometimes factual mistakes in the letter)
- falls in love very quickly. Don't let your ego or loneliness pull the wool over your eyes. You could be an axe murderer for all she knows.
- wants money for a 'visa' and/or maybe tickets, even though she needs a personal letter of invitation from you, a copy of your passport, a proof of your residence in your home country, a completed sponsor's application form (also from you)....not including the documents that she has to fill in herself. All of these she has to drop off at your national embassy in Moscow WITH PREPAID TICKETS and wait 10 working days. Without these documents, it's impossible for 'her' to get a Schengen visa. USA is almost as complicated. Why should it be so easy for a gorgeous sexy girl to just jump on a plane and come and visit you? Get real.
- uses a proxy server to hide his/her location, or a SOCKS server / GPRS Internet. if you can't trace 'her' IP, it's 100% scam.

I come to find out that my post (back a few pages) about Olesya has also let me know compared to the IP address info here all past 40+ emails from her are within the range based on the above info. This girl is bad news guys and she has had a lot of us going but it is good to see a site like this devoted to men really helping men. I would also like to ask where is a great place to start to meet Russian and other nationality women? Are there any sites dedicated to single, new, u.s. citizens or the like? Honest and real women not scammers. Thanks for all the help and I also found this site by recently searching this Olesya whatever whomever she is.

anonymous from United States ...it depends what nationalities you'd like to meet. If you're interested in Russian and Ukrainian girls (Kazaki, Uzbeki etc), then u can find some on Russianbrides.com and Elenasmodels.com.

There are lots of scammers at Russian brides as well but they're easy to spot and they'll write to you first. Most real Russian girls will write back if you write first. Russianbrides will also remove scammers if you inform them (scam signs, copied letters etc). I've chatted with at least 4 real girls there, webcam as well, and I met my fiancée on this site and she's absolutely real. (You'll have to pay a few bucks a month to write back to the women).

But one scammer had video recorded a very attractive woman (presumably an accomplice or his mother) and when I chatted with her on webcam, he played the video and made it look as if she was chatting with me. I could tell because the video was out of sync with her messages. Sometimes she would type something but no message would come, sometimes vice versa. It was very sophisticated but i was already suspicious because he/she had used the BAT (though some Russian internet cafes do have this software) and she didn't have a mobile (even though she was supposedly a shop manager)...etcetc. Otherwise, his/her English was good and she answered my questions.

Elenasmodels has an antiscam guarantee, but you should still be careful because I've heard there are quite a lot there too, they're just more professional.

I've also met a couple of real Russian/Ukrainian girls on Udate.com. One of them was a bit of a timewaster, the other actually came to visit me in Stockholm. (she now lives in the USA)

Finally, I met some real girls in the free chatroom at absolute agency, but your profile will be bombarded with scammers as well. Just ignore them, the real girls are in the chatroom (but it's a pretty crazy place). I met up with a woman I'd met in this chatroom in moscow last year (nothing serious).

Basically, any reasonably respectable Russian dating site will have real Eastern European girls, but they all have scammers too because girls can post profiles for free, whereas guys have to pay.

The trick is to use your instinct, never send money (unless you've confirmed she's real somehow, chatting on webcam, talking on the phone, sending flowers that reach her address etcetc). after a while it's easy to tell, but here are a few Russian dating scam tips if you don't know them already:

- 'girl' writes to you first on a dating site (or an email appears out of nowhere in your mailbox). Real Russian girls are rarely that bold. (unless you're very attractive or rich). Plus if they're looking for a partner, they generally prefer him to be Russian speaking and live in Russia.
- girl's much too young for you (or too good to be true/looks like a model/porno star)
- scammers rarely have children, but all the real Russian women I've ever met did.
- photos are too revealing (can't be a respectable girl)
- most of the pics are old and a little bit faded. Most scam photos have a curiously grainy quality that soon becomes easy to recognise. A serious girl who's looking for a partner, would save up and go to a professional to have a photo set done, and/or borrow a digicam at least (dates should also be on the photos you receive). Russian girls aren't all that poor anymore.
- girl claims not to have a mobile phone. very unlikely. even poor girls have a mobile phone, they're much cheaper than in Europe and a megafon telephone card doesn't cost that much either. On the other hand, not having a landline or a computer is quite common.
- very long rambling form letters with a strange format, punctation, layout. (world's worst Babelfish copy)
- writes everyday in English (how does she have time if she's working? + most Russians can hardly speak a word of English). Anyway, what's the point of finding a girl if you can't communicate with her, at least on a basic level?
Without these documents, it's impossible for 'her' to get a sponsored Schengen visa. USA is almost as complicated. And normal tourist visas + costs would set her back 3000+ dollars. Why should it be so easy for a gorgeous sexy girl just to jump on a plane and fall into bed with you? Be realistic.
- uses a proxy server to hide his/her location, ie a SOCKS server / GPRS Internet. if you can't trace 'her' IP, it's 100% scam. If she uses gmail, be suspicious too cos u won't be able to trace the IP. hotmail and yahoo are acceptable if she'll chat with you on messenger, otherwise why does she have a non-cyrillic email account?

Hello my dear How your affairs? How at you weather today?
At us today so it is warm and so it is sweet the sun shines. But I am
upset with your letter. Why you so speak about me? You do not believe
me?
If you do not believe me, you then can arrive to Moscow for 2-3 days
and we shall meet you there and for this purpose you will not need the
invitation.
You know as I you I like and I can not think of anybody more except for
you.
What for you so speak, what for by life such, I have no sense except
for you.
I think, that our meeting will solve all and will place on the places.
I know, that you will not leave me lonely and will be near to me.
I give you one million warm kisses and hugs!!!!
Your fine Olesya

''you then can arrive to Moscow for 2-3 days and we shall meet you there and for this purpose you will not need the invitation.''

From what I learnt from our Swede friend Eddie, It's impossible for citizens of Schengen-friendly countries to visit Russia without being invited.
