Thanks for the advice on there feeding habits OJAS.Eddie,my line of work revolves
around curiousity?I work for the AFP Australian Federal Police and was never really
sure on how big a scale this type of Scamming activity had really become, until one
had actually contacted us at home via my sons computer.
The girl who's photo's are turning up all over Australia and most of the World, for that matter. Are of a girl called Stanislava from St Petersburgh. She is 23 turning 24
in November and is a College student. She does have a boyfriend. She has 98 photo's posted on fota.mota.ru and several other sites which are directly linked. If you google [Stanislava photo's Mamba] you should come up trumps, just make sure you translate first.I have a phonetic keyboard at my disposal, and have tried to register through this site but to no avail, the registration seems to only allow russian citizen's?Give the registration a go if you are in the USA, let me know how you get on.
Cheers from Australia, nice you take some jest in the right spirit amidst your strenuous job.
1) Scamming has globally reached Billion dollar mark (long before the USD weekened)
2) You are in good company, of those scammers chose to rub the wrong way
You would have seen SMH article on your compatriot Terry who wrote to Putin; An Iclandinc ex-police officer, A Canadian with contacts at Royal Canadian Mounted Police, are just a few.
Let me take the liberty of introducing to you our delphi team in Aussie equivalent:
Eddie = punter; Skeet = pigeon; Dirk = Warney ... and me = twelfth man
Hope you'll make regular contributions - and celebrate your joining us with a Foster's or VB
cheers from Australia....er, you're a fed, mate? ;D...crikey, I'd better go undercover then.
The Russian dating scammers are prolific in and around Yoshtar Ola, Mari El republic...a few hundred miles east of Moscow. Dating scams are more or less an organized cottage industry there, and very difficult to stop (Yoshtar Ola is quite poor, u c). It would take several Western men who'd been scammed to get together and hire a Russian-speaking lawyer to put pressure on the local cops. Yoshtar Ola scammers have been busted before but it's difficult to trace them and get the police to co-operate, especially now the scammers mostly use SOCKS servers to hide their whereabouts. There are isolated scammers all the way east to Yekaterinburg, but the vast majority come from Mari El. (I was actually in Ulyanovsk at Easter, which is a way down the Volga valley)
The info you've posted about the blonde with the mole I've seen somewhere else. Did you post it on another thread? She's one of the scammers' favourites. One of them tried her pics on me last July at cityofbrides.com. When I wrote back to him in Russian slagging him off, this is the reply I got (also in Russian but translated): The scammer 'dissected' my mail and answered each part with a retort.
Från: 'Anna' <email@example.com>
Ämne: Re: Прочитайте это письмо
Datum: 05 July 2006 17:40
Me: Hello 'Anna'! Please do not insult my intelligence.
Me: You don't read my letters. You ignore my questions. I write to you in Russian, but you do not see, because you do not read my letters.
Scammer: Yes I see that you write in Russian, but I correspond with many such as you. I cannot write to everyone individually.
Me: You send me copied letters.
Scammer: Certainly. Then you are better than others?
Me: You write to me using a proxy server from the USA....a typical dodge for the Internet-scammer. If you are frank, why do you hide your location?
Scammer: I use a SOCKS-server. Usually I use GPRS Internet and you all cannot equally learn where I am. You can see only the IP of the operator of cellular communication.
Me: Your photos are very beautiful, but you are not an actual girl. Probably, you are man called Boris.
Scammer: You are right, but not Boris certainly.
Me: You are a professional criminal who deceives money from lonely men who only search for a partner. Why do you do it? You are too stupid to work? Or too lazy?
Scammer: Here only it is not necessary to speak about nonsense. You are a fool if you want to find a wife in the Internet. It is not real. The average salary in my city is 150 dollars a month. The choice is simple - either poverty or larceny. Now I earn 5000 dollars. Our validity does not leave a choice. You can however choke in beautiful words about honesty and nobleness but when would it be desirable TO GUZZLE morals? It leaves only the second plan. I very much doubt, that you are capable to understand it.
Me: The scammer should be cleverer than its victim. But you are too stupid to be successful. If I could find you, I would kick your end face. *(didn’t know the Russian word for ass, but I do now)
Scammer: Do not reproach me in your dullness. I correspond with a whole division of sexually perverted muzhiks and everyone is a fool. And I am quite successful in the business. Be pleased, that we shall not meet, differently I would will thrust your leg into your задницу or end face, as you call it :)
Me: Try to behave nobly and to not deceive money.
Scammer: Necessarily, sometime. Can be in a following life.
There are 3 more mails like this and I learned a lot, including the Russian word for scamming....cкамерство = skamerstvo
PS...the scammer was wrong because at the second attempt, I'm now 'engaged' to a very nice Russian girl, who has her residency interview at the Swedish embassy in Moscow at 9am on Wednesday morning.

Eddie's scammer ''poverty or larceny''
@newbies please read this link within the applicable context. I do not at all mean you'll become an apologist
An English transcript may consume a lot of time; A very brief summary perhaps?
Cheers from Australia, Do you have a voice recognition & translator to give it a try?
Also I may not have understood which site you are trying to logon to. Can you post a link to the site, we can try logging on from the States? Or is a paid membership required, using credit-card outside Russia?

At last it feels nice to leave that offending thread and join a normal thread. I was in another thread you were answering an ill-informed Belgian, decided to leave that thread also, at least temporarily.
I'd only wish guys do homework first of all, and have always shown my willingness to do homework together with them.
The fact is ordinary hard-working Russians hate scammers as much as non-Russians. I'll be finding more proofs for the benefit of such newbies.
Busy writing to me under the name Darya Mohova from Kazan and has given me a address in Kazan till date no request for any money as such but planning a meeting in Moscow.
I have found about 20 photos of her here under different names.... seems another scam.
Hard to beleive but true.... they are very convincing and has phoned me once.
Just wondering what the angle is?
Why all this effort or is she waiting for me to arrive in Russia.
haha, anonymous from Germany ...not sure if we appreciate being called 'a can of worms' ;D
if 'she' has invited you to visit her in 'her' city, which is of course the normal way to meet a real Russian girl, she will say that her 'travel agent' will arrange the tickets and hotel rooms (maybe even the visa?) for you, which is of course bullshit, because you have to do that in Germany and at your nearest Russian embassy.
Seems to be a new angle that they're using...the false invitation to Russia.
