Born: 15th August 1977. living in Moscow
Same IP-adress 184.108.40.206.
He/she got my e-mail adress from a datingprofile. The scammer has an ipadress originating from the Netherlands. Scamming is illegal in Holland so i think a phone-call to the Dutch authorities can get something started. ;-)

everything I posted on the previous page of this thread is accurate.
most Russian scammers get your emails using an email extractor. They will then spam hundreds of addresses, often using the Bat! spam software for example, in the hope that a few hundred will take the bait and reply. They don't read your replies partly because they are too busy spamming potential vics and don't have the time, partly because being uneducated petty criminals, they can't speak or read English. If you write to them in Russian though they will often reply in Russian in their 'scammer' persona. (I've had a few letters from scammers out of disguise)
They will, however, read your mails after they have sent you the money letter to see if you've taken the bait, but only then.
Their main sales trick is to make things as easy as possible for the vic to get scammed, 'just sent $700 and a sexy lonely Russian girl will fall willingly into your lap'. Unfortunately, most guys get blinded by the pics or their libidos and don't check up the actual costs of the trip. To travel to the USA, a Russian girl would need upwards of $2500 to cover her expenses, tickets etc. all of which she would need before she is granted a visa.
And as someone who has travelled to Russia twice in the last 12 months and sponsored 2 Russian girls to visit me in Stockholm, I know how damn laborious and expensive the Russian visa process really is, in both directions.
On the other hand, if you're actually interested in a real Russian girl, there are plenty of them out there, and cute too. You just have to sort the wheat from the chaff, but expect to splash out a bit of money anyway. My Russian fiancé has her residency interview on October 3rd,

A curious question - USSR used to be written CCCP in Cyrillic. At that time the Russia used to be abbreiviated in English to RFSR (or something like that with 2 R's)
If you have seen a Russian external Passport, issued after the collapse of USSR, what are the English, Cyrillic abbreivation on the Passport? RFSR, PCCP ? Anyone?
