I have been writing her for about 3 weeks and she insists that it is Russian custom that the girl meets the future husband's family first! She has pushed coming here even though I offered to fly to Russia (which she seemed SO happy about at first). That's what US Immigration/BCIS requires if you want a K-1 fiancee visa. I married a Russian woman 3 years ago (she wasn't a scammer...it just didn't work out) so I am VERY familiar about the visa process and what she was telling me didn't add up. So I checked this site and guess what!? Here are the pictures she sent me and included are pictures of her supposed mother and father, sister and friends. Also, I checked another site and if you put your cursor on the picture, it will tell you the date is was taken, with the type of camera, etc. Some of these pictures say they were taken in Feb 2004, yet there is NO snow. I have been to Russia in February and it is COLD.

The OTHER thing is that she wrote me through Singlesnet.com. You cannot e-mail someone unless you are a paid subscriber and that was my first clue. First, most of these dating sites will NOT accept anyone from Russia, so she puts that she lives somewhere in the U.S. Beyond that, how could a Russian girl sign up to a sitee with a credit card? Most Russians don't have telephones in their homes, let alone a credit card to sign up on a dating site.

Beware guys. Like someone else said here, 'If it's too good to be true, it probably is.' You are better off going through a reputable agency, but even be careful with those!

I received the same original email. Her email address was given as morningstar@tepmail.com. Red flags went up immediately when I saw this because first of all, her email host 'tepmail' is on the national list of spammers and (2): her address ends in .com (not ru or kz) She claimed to be from a small village in Kasakhstan and I went on line to locate it......the damn place doesn't even exist.

I turned her in to True beginnings for fraud. I played out the part for 4 letters and then threw the book at her......case closed!!!

Girlcandy is now Sunny007. She contacted me through True and had almost the exact same first e-mail to me. After the third e-mail and the pictures ( all the same as posted)it started to sound too desperate. Thanks to this site I now know what not to do. Hopefully the train that took her to visit her family will catch up to her.
