Eddie/Moderator to this blog:

One of the time's I corresponded to 'Sveta' I remember him/her complaining not to send any attachments (I sent him/her Pictures and Audio/Music samples).

How about telling everyone that cares to respond to them, to include as many picture or music as possible and let's LOAD UP there email inbox!!!

I know Google Mail has a limit. And since there whole scam is a numbers game (ie. get as many Men 'on the Hook' as possible), if quite a few of us responded back with huge attachments that would limit the amount of emails they could get back.

Everyone else that responded would get there emails bounced back to them (maybe concluding that this was indeed a scam).

Just an idea. So what do you think?

Chris

Hello, I recently received an email from this girl. Please do not fall for her scams. She has sent me several pictures of her and her family. She says that she is from russia and that she wants to come to america to work and that she is a professional dancer. She has not asked me for money yet,but I am sure that question is coming soon. I am gonna play along with her game and make it difficult on her.She picked the wrong guy to play a scam on this time around.I just want to warn those out there that she does this for a living and to not fall for it. She contacted me 3 days ago through a dating site and I had my suspicions from the start. Here is a picture that she sent me today August 6th.

First of all the person you are chatting with is most likely a him and not a her. I had a letter like that before from someone from Russia, but the IP showed they were in Virginia. If you search the web for some of the lines of the letter, you will be pointed back to this site, that is a pretty generic letter coming from the russian scammers.

They will eventually say I am traveling to moscow, and I need $950 dollars and I don't want to ask my mom 'sob sob' for the money.

Well you get the idea..........

Good luck and don't get scammed......

I got an email from the same girl. My name is also Chris and I got it after going on Craigslist.org. She never asked for money. In fact, she made a point of not asking for money. She said she had a job waiting for her in New York. She told me about her ill Mother and the last I heard from her was back in March. Since then, nothing. I figured she was fake when I'd respond and she never replied to any questions or statements I made to her. Oh well, she looked cute. Too bad for you guys. Be careful out there.

Hi guys,

Even from the very first letter it was obvious that it's a scam (without searching for IPs etc) since no russian lady could write such a perfect English! The writing style is also western, not european or russian at all. How could a foreigner living in a small town on the other end of the world could write like this? Neither in Thai villages nor on Philippines' islands ladies could do that.

It's very unfortunately that some gangs destroy the image of russian-speaking ladies as there are lots family-minded, honest and single ladies out there. The issues is that most don't speak well any foreign language (forget about writing elaborate letters) or have much of an access to high-speed internet.
So, they go to a local marriage agency that scans their photos and places them in the database adding a translated personal description. The agency meets a lady in person and takes a copy of her passport to ensure she is real. And this is how it works for at least 90% of honest ladies. The agency then is in the business of selling address of ladies/arranging translation/ overall help to guys. I thnik a few years back the charge per address varied from US$10-$35. Some agencies are not honest either, but in those that are based in Moscow and St.Petersburg the probability of having no scams is quite high. As they are large and care about their reputation.
The remaining 10% of ladies will attempt to post their profiles online themselves. But now posting form CIS/Russia is blocked by many large dating sites now (for the reasons of scam).
Besides, it's not a culture in russia to write directly to a foreign man. This 10% of internet savvy ladies will mostly post their pic and profile and will wait...

As I see, we are all talking to the same girl. I know her as Darya Zyeva, her email is GoodLuckyBabby@yahoo.com Their are some pictures here on this site that are the exact same as I received. So I guess I am out of 600$usd? She apparently needed some money help for her travel insurance. She asked her director on work(word on word from her) If he could lend her enough money for her flight ticket. We have been talking for well over 2 months now.

This woman known as Sveta Sun_Loving_Girl is now known as Darya Zyeva GoodLuckyBabby@yahoo.com The first time I sent her a Money-Gram for 300$usd, the only way she could claim the $ was with a photo ID. She seemed quite upset that I did not give her the reference # When I asked why she needed the reference # she gave me some sob story. Be careful guy's this is not some sweet russian lady. She is scum!!
