This is why I LOVE the Web -- it gives people an instant data base of criminals just like the cops have. 'Boris' here was working on me, too. It's fun to be able to send him this link and demonstrate that not ALL American men are total idiots!

'Men do not demand genuine beauty, even in the most modest doses; they are quite content with the mere appearance of beauty. That is to say, they show no talent whatever for differentiating between the artificial and the real. A film of face powder, skillfully applied, is as satisfying to them as an epidermis of damask. The hair of a dead Chinaman, artfully dressed and dyed, gives them as much delight as the authentic tresses of Venus. False bosoms intrigue them as effectively as the soundest of living fascia. A pretty frock fetches them quite as surely and securely as lovely legs, shoulders, hands or eyes.
... Such transparent devices reduce the psychologist to a sour sort of mirth, yet it must be plain that they suffice to entrap and make fools of men, even the most discreet.'
--H.L. Mencken, 'The Lure of Beauty'

NOOOO!!!...don't send scammers a link to this site. What are you thinking? We don't want the place crawling with scammers posting crap, deleting posts and generally making a nuisance of themselves. Our best weapon is our anonyminity.

Unfortunately, you have just demonstrated that not A FEW American men are total idiots!

I disagree -- I believe it's both gratifying for us and psychologically demoralizing for them to let them know that we are wise to them.

I received the following from Lyudmila/Anastasiya today, under the subject line 'WOW!!!!!!!
Wow, indeed.

~~~
Hi!!!!!!!!! Sorry this will be short, I will write you more later
today! I just want to let you know I arrived to Moscow!!! I'm safe and
everything is OK here. I already settled down. Today I will try to
make more pictures for you and I will send them to you as soon as I
can!!!!! I'm very excited!!!!!! I feel like we became closer to each
other!!!! The weather is good today, very sunny!!! There is no snow
here, as I wrote you I saw on TV several days ago it was snowing in
Moscow but now it's very good weather and no snow. Do you believe in
global warming or global cold snap? Last few years the weather is so
strange... Last year in my native city there were no snow till the end
of December... and usually it starts to snow there in the middle or
at the end of November.
Sorry I have to go now, I promise I will write you later today!
I miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope I will be able to send more pics from Moscow today but I don't
promise!!!!!!!!
Your girl in Moscow.
~~~

Gosh-Golly -- I'm sooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!! I just can't wait to hear from her when she reachs Moscow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry, but you're in a minority of 1 on that. All the regulars here .... Dirk, Ojas, Pierre, FjÀllhare, et al....disagree with you. Sending a link just undermines what we're trying to do.

If the scammer comes to this site and finds his scam pics, he only needs to change them and his email addy and start all over again, which decreases the chances of some other potential vic tracing the original ones to this site....in other words we have to start all over again as well. Furthermore, the scammer can pick up on which scam pics are currently in use from checking on this site and avoid using them for his scams. Or the scammer can copy the advice and info that we post, translate it and adjust his scam accordingly, trying a new angle that we haven't covered.

Furthermore...scammers regularly come here and post crap and insults. They also delete posts and pics as well. In other words, the less attention we draw to ourselves the better.

Scammers don't give a shit if 'we're wise to them', they'll just keep on doing what they're doing regardless. And all you've done is make to easier for them. And for what...short-term gratification?

No offence intended, but I repeat....not very intelligent.

Anon USA: I know and understand how you feel and think about this, but I agree with Eddie. This one admits, that there were moments on which I felt to confront them with the anti-scamsites. But you and I have to realize that it is NOT-DONE. I'm working on 6 of them right now. And I realize that they are not as stupid as some think. We know how to Google. They know too. It's their daily bread. There are some men on this planet who spend a lot of time on baiting those bastards. We don't give them away. do we? Dirk
