Hi Michael!

How are you today? How is the weather there? I hope everything is ok!
I'm feeling well. I feel myself completely recovered. I want to thank
my friends. They helped to overcome the illness. My friends visited
me yesterday and I was very glad to see them. We did prepare chicken
fry with potatoes. It was delicious. They actually didn't stay till
late, because of my illness. All in all it was a very pleasant evening.

By the way they granted me some flowers. It was sky blue peonies. As
I wrote you before these are my favourite flowers and my favourite
colour. You should remember that Michael.
I talked to my agent and she told me that all of my papers are ready.
My visa is ready too and it is waiting for me in the main office of
my agency in Moscow. I'll fly out from Moscow and I'll pick up my visit

from my agency en route to the airport. I also talked with her about
the job they found for me. My agent said that I'll have a different
salary from one year to another. My salary for the first year will be
$40 000 USD, and $50 000 USD for the second year. Next 3 year salary
could be raised more, maybe it will not happened, but it will not down
under $50 000 USD. It's for sure. Michael, can you tell me if this
amount of money will be enough for me to live in your area? Let me
know.
I think I will be able to afford a place of my own right away (I mean a

rent), but I'm not sure if I will be able to afford a car. Should I buy

a used car or I can expect that I can buy a new one? What do you think?

What are the prices for the used cars and for the new cars?
I was told that I'll get an advance as soon as I come to NYC. It will
be $5000 USD, which I'll have to return in six months. I believe that
it
is not a great amount of money, so I'll be very careful with them. I'm
going to reserve a ticket by Thursday or by Friday, not sure right now.

I wanted to make it tomorrow but I've got some affairs which I have to
finish right away. I'll let you know my flight schedule soon.
I watched a TV set lately and there was a programme about the NASCAR
racing championship.
I see it's a very popular sport event in the states. I find it
interesting
too. I'd like to visit the race sometime. Is it possible? Is it
expensive?
I want to give you my address just in case. Here it is:
Country: Russia
Region: Komi region
Town: Lach
Lermontova street, building # 7, apt. # 10
But, please, do not send anything through regular mail. I want you to
know that our mail service is very bad. It is very slow and the cards
or packages could be lost or even stolen! There a lot such incidents
here.
That is why I want to warn you from sending anything through our mail
service. I gave you my address to show you that I trust you enough
Michael.
I want you to know that I started to feel some kind of affection
towards
you Michael. I miss you letters when I have no possibility to check my
mailbox and to read them. It is very strange. I do not know how to
explain
it. Well, it is late and I have to quit here. I've attached a picture
for
you. The quality is not very good, but I hope you will like it. I'll
try
to prepare a new picture for you tomorrow.
I'll wait for your reply Michael!
Your Russian friend Anna

Hi my faraway friend Michael!
It is 4:00 pm in Lach, Thursday. We've got a thaw today and the snow
has melted away. Everything has become gray and gloomy. My mood is on
the zero. In fact, I've got a flue or something like this. I feel
myself terrible. I think I have to see my doctor today. That is why
I'll be short today, ok? I hope you are well Michael and didn't get
sick. It's a horrible feeling.
I talked to my agent today and she said that I have to reserve a ticket

by next week. She said that my visa and other documents will be ready
in a week, so I can start to pack my baggage! I was also told that I'll

have to spend 2 or 3 days in NYC before I'll head to my place of
working.
It will be needed to arrange some formalities and to sign a contract
with the employer. My agent said that I'll be met in the airport. Those

people will help me to reach the office in NYC. All in all I think I'll

come to NYC in a 2 week. It is really close from now. I'm getting
exciting
and nervous at the same time. I so used to have my mother somewhere
close
to me, that it will be very difficult for me to leave her here in Lach.

I'll try to take her to America in the future when I'll get a
citizenship.
I'll think how to arrange it.
Michael, I wonder what places I should visit in America. I've heard of
Niagara Falls, Las Vegas and Hollywood. Maybe there is something else?
Let me know. I very like to travel and to see new places.
I can't remember if I ever asked you about your horoscope's sign. As I
wrote you before I was born 23.12.1978 which makes me Capricorn. Do you

actually believe in horoscope? As for me I do. I find it fun.
I went today to our local connection center and asked if there is any
way you could call me from overseas. I want you to know that I have a
phone but it has a local number only. It means that I can make
calls/receive
calls if they are local only. Do you understand it? I hope. So I think
if
I'll call you when I come to NYC it will be ok.
Michael, from each letter I feel that I'm getting closer to you. Do you
feel
the same? I feel some kind of connection. I can't explain it right now,

but I like it.
I've attached a new pic of me today. It was taken a year ago by my
friend
Katerina, as usual. She is my best friend. She is feeling well after
her
car accident by the way.
Well, my doctor is waiting for me. I have to go. I hope that I'll feel
much
better tomorrow!
Be healthy!
Your Russian friend Anna

Hello my friend Michael!
I am very happy to see that you wrote me! I was not able to check my
mailbox during the weekend, and I must admit I started to miss you
letters.
Indeed I'm feeling much better today. It was a terrible weekend for me.

My doctor said that I have to stay at home and do not leave my bed. I
had
a high temperature and a cough. I'm still feeling myself ill but much
better than during the weekend. I feel that I'm recovering Michael.
A medicine became quite expensive here since the USSR did fall to
pieces.
I remember the times when everything was for free. It sounds like a
fairy
tale now. I have to pay 500 rubles ($20 USD) every time when I see my
doctor.
I'm not sure if it is too many for America, but it is quite expensive
for
Russia. I wonder how much does it cost to see a doctor in America. Let
me
know.
Michael, I want to ask you could you find out what the average
designer's
salary in America is. It is very interesting for me to know, especially
in
your area.
As I wrote you before I was going to reserve a ticket by this week. I
hope
that I'll it by Wednesday or Thursday. As soon as I reserve a ticket
I'll
let you know the exact date of my coming! I also will have to pay some
money
to my agency; because they helped me to find a place to work and helped
with
the papers. I'm very nervous about my coming to America. I think that I

caught flu because of my agitated condition. It is so good to have
friends
which could hold you on in a hard time. Some of my friends will visit
me today
in the evening. They will help me to clean up my apartment and will
help me
to cook my favourite dish - chicken fry with potatoes. I'm very good at
cooking
and maybe someday soon you'll check it out! I like flowers very much
and I
hope that some of friends will tumble to bring me some flowers. I like
roses,
asters and peonies. Do you ever heard of peonies? I bet you do not, but
it is
a very popular flower here in Russia.
Did I ever tell you my last name Michael? I guess I never did. Well, my
last
name is Sotova.
My full name is Anna Petrovna Sotova. So you know now.
Michael, I think we could be a good match. I do not want to push you
and I'm
not in a rush either. Please get me right. I have to say that I
definitely want
to meet you face to face, to talk to you one on one. Only time will
tell if we
are a match, but I'm happy that I have a friend like you are Michael.
I'll stop here. I feel myself tired a little bit, I need some rest.
I'll write
to you tomorrow and will send you a new pic.
Your Russian friend Anna

Hi Michael!
How are you? How is the weather there today? I hope that much better
than here
in Lach. We've got a first snow this morning! It was really beautiful!
Everything
was white. I've got up very early today and what I've seen I could name
'The white
noiselessness'.
I went to my agency this morning and I was told that they could suggest
me some
job's options in your area. That's real great! So I can definitely say
that I'll
come to your area. I don't know how close I'll work/live to you, but I
think it
will not be a problem, right?! I can not say the names of the companies
and if they
have web-sites right now. But I can say that I really wonder myself. My
agent told me that
she couldn't advise what company to choose. She said that I can make my
choice at
New York office. There are some people there who can advise me what
company to choose.
I consider that it is reasonable and I think that I should make my
choice in the
States. Michael, do you know what will be the first thing I'll do when
I come to
NYC? I'm going to call you! I want to hear your voice very much
Michael. I'm still
looking for a chance to call you from Lach but it appears quite
complicated and
expensive. I hope you understand it Michael, and will not be upset.
I don't remember if I ever told you about my town. Maybe it will be
interesting for
you. The name of my town is Lach. It's a small town and the closest big
city is Ukhta.
The population of my town is about 25 thousands of people. My town is
located in Komi
region; it is not far from Siberia so the weather is very rigid here
too. Lach is a
very green town in the summer and very white in the winter! Every
winter we get a lot
of snow. There are some cinemas in Lach, we even have a theatre. The
streets here are
narrow, but it creates some kind of cosiness. I like it. I love my
town, but it's time
for me to leave it. Maybe I'll back someday, who knows. I think the
hardest thing for
me will be to part with my friends and relatives. I used to spend a lot
of free time
with them, I'll miss them. I'll also miss for my apartment. It is
actually not big (It
consists of 2 rooms), but very cozy. My apartment consists of bathroom,
dining room,
hall, lobby and bedroom. I wanted to make a new design for it but it is
not actual for
me now. What can you tell about your surroundings Michael? I'd like
to know.
I must admit that sometimes I feel myself really confused because many
of the questions
you asked I already answered in my previous letters. I don't know how
to check it but
I'm wondering if you received all of my letters. It is a strange
situation. Maybe some
letters didn't get to your mailbox right away? I do not know why that
is.
I've attached a new pic for you today. My friend Katerina did shoot me
last spring. You
probably admitted that I look different in my photos?! I actually like
to look different.
In fact, I'm not a natural blonde. I like to colour my hair. I hope
it's not an issue
for you Michael? I tried some colours but I think that the blonde hair
is the best choice
for me. Don't you think so?
Ok, it's getting late here. I have to close now. I'll write you
tomorrow Michael. It is
so good that I have so much free time this week so I can write you
everyday. I hope you
don't mind that I write so often.

LOL...that's right, just sit back and enjoy it. But don't forget to post 'her' letters and photos, if there are any new ones.

The reason that you googled her email addy is that you have a good instinct!!

Or you could post my 'scammer-take-a-hike' Russian email (complimentary English translation included). Add the photo for special effect:

email title: skamerstvo!

Privet khokhol!
Pozhalujsta, ne oskorbl'ajte moj intellekt. Ty ne zhivete v Kazan, ty zhivete v Ioshkar-Ola, prestupnyj gorod v Rossii. Ty posylayete mne ukradennyye fotografii i nizkokachestvennyye skopirovannyye pis'ma. (English translation)

Hello vile greedy one!
Please don't insult my intelligence. You don't live in (name of city), you live in Yoshkar Ola, a criminal city in Russia. You send me stolen photos and poor-quality copy letters. Soon, you'll ask for money to obtain a visa (impossible to obtain without a letter of invitation from me and tickets as well.)

Therefore I will save you some time. Go from here and seek an honest job, you miserable swindler. I'm not interested in your scam business. Get lost or I'll kick your ass. Fuck you!

Eddie,

I am the anonymous about whom you wrote '...finally a guy who's prepared to a little homework.' Yes, I have done my homework. Yes, I have run through Whois, yes I have examined the full headers minutely, I have saved every e-mail into a coherent sequence. Sorry but I'm not a child.

I don't want to disagree. But yesterday I received the same letter that Steve had received, and I have written to 'Anna' letter for letter. So it is NOT the scammer noticing that someone had stopped writing. However, it is written as a quick note, and it shows her pulling away just slightly, in that the close lacks the more intimate 'Russian g/friend'. Whether this is intentional, or just a failure to put that in...we'll find out.

I would rate it as the intentional short note that one lover might write when under time and job pressure.

And I'm glad you were successful in getting a Russian gf/wife. Many years ago, when the Soviet Union was Russia, I had a Russian g/f whom I met through my professional life (which I can't go into here). She was able to leave the Soviet quite frequently, and we would meet in Europe or the US or South America. I know how unusual this sounds; it was, but it also is the truth. I was able to go to St. Petersburg to be with her when she was dying of lung cancer.

This scam is different from the boilerplate that you post regarding Russian scams. The pictures are distinct, well-done and informal - not like from a dating site. There is no visa scam, as she claims to have one. The hook will be different, though I can't imagine what it will be. She has a reservation on Aeroflot, so it could be money for a ticket. It could be that the 'agency' she mentions will fail her but she will want to come anyway and ask for money for that.

Somewhere in this thread, early on, you or someone said that a young Russian girl would not be allowed to leave Russia. I have to take issue with that; Russia is no longer the Soviet Union, and I have run across a few Russian girls over the past few years (not hookers) who have come to the US on a tourist visa. I have not enquired as to how they got it; presumptively, they had sufficient funds to convince the US Immigration Service to issue the visa.

Remember that the scammers are likely monitoring this thread, just in case there might be something said that might endanger their scam.

I do appreciate your warnings, and I wish there were some way to discover just how many men are being scammed. And I still wonder whether this scam is in other language/countries, particularly in Europe.

I of course shall remain Anonymous

'No mystery really. The scammer probably didn't notice that you'd stopped writing as his Bat! spam system only replies to mails it receives.

'now he's noticed that you haven't written for a while, and he's trying to cover his tracks by pretending that it was HIM who didn't have time to write to you, when the truth is that he didn't even notice. Most of these scammers are spamming hundreds of guys at the same time. They very easily lose track and/or make mistakes.

'You might also notice that his writing style has changed because this is a hand-written mail translated with an internet translator, rather than a standard form mail.

'For God's sake, post the email header and I'll trcae his IP address for you!'

'Anonymous who wishes to remain anonymous'...

First of all, considering how many anonymous Americans there are on this site, your wish makes it quite tricky to have a personal dialogue with you. One of my posts that you've quoted was not even addressed to you. Ergo, if you were as experienced as you claim, you would surely come up with a signature so that we could recognise you? :D

'Sorry but I'm not a child'?...seems like rather a childish reaction for one as mature as yourself, especially considering I was actually congratulating you for posting a bit of common sense. It was obviously not my intention to talk down to you, quite the opposite. So I'll repeat what I said: 'Finally, someone on this thread who's prepared to do a little homework!'.

Some of us have been posting here for quite some time, in my case nearly a year, OJAS and Dirk more than 6 months, Pierre God knows how long, 2 years or more?, for Fjällhare it must be at least a year etcetc. In other words, we've seen all the Russian/Ukrainian scams and most of the scam variations that there are to see. And why do we come here exactly?... to help innocent guys from sending money to scammers, if possible. Ego does not come into it.

On the other hand, I'm the only person on this site - as far as I know - who's ever been to Russia in the first place (twice in the past 15 months -- apart from your esteemed self more than 20 years ago), and I also teach English to the diplomats at the Russian Embassy in Stockholm. In other words, I'm more familiar than most with the Russian/Schengen visa requirements.

Either way, your help is very much appreciated, but a sensitive attitude is not.

As regards my general info post about Russian girls and Russian scammers, since I can't spend my whole life here replying to each individual poster who comments 'Russian bitch' and other inane crap, I've done my best to condense as much useful information into one post and then paste it where it might help. All of it is based on my own experiences in the last 2 years of scammer baiting, as well as a lot of input from guys on this site. I stand by and can confirm every word.

As regards your 'own' scammer, he was very busy about 2 or 3 months ago, same work visa scam (nursing job in the USA?), different pics. I can't remember which thread, maybe OJAS does? I don't have time to find it. At that time, we had a similar spate of guys posting, and similar discussions about visa regulations, scam outcomes etcetc.

As regards visa requirements for a Russian travelling to the USA and any other country, I have it on GOOD authority (from a genuine female Russian travel agent in Saratov) and my own RECENT experience, that for a poor Russian man or woman it is 99.9% impossible to get a tourist visa to North America or Europe. One of the reasons is that they are considered an overstay risk (of which I have first hand experience because I was deported from the USA in 1987 for overstaying my visa :D). In addition, they have to pay everything in advance, hotel rooms, plane tickets, insurance, which for a poor Russian is a small fortune. The average wage is most Russian cities is 150-250 dollars a month. By the way, almost the same rules currently apply in the opposite direction. Tours to Russia have to be booked in advance. Please don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about, I was there in April.

A poor Russian girl/guy can get a SPONSORED visa to Europe or North America (they call it a homestay visa in Russia), in which the (usually male) sponsor guarantees his/her upkeep during her stay. That one's a piece of cake. I've done it myself twice, for two different Russian girls.

For a RICH Russian, anything is possible! They can, and do, travel everywhere. But 99.999% of rich Russians live in Moscow and St Petersburg, not in Kazan, Samara and Yekaterinburg. In other words, a girl from a city outside Moscow has a 0.001% chance of getting a tourist visa, and in addition to that she has to travel to Moscow to submit the papers and collect the visa, or send an authorised representative to do it for her (the travel agent). Any 'girl' who claims otherwise is a bold-faced liar.

Unfortunately, it's a bit late for you to interrogate the Russian girls that you met in the US, but my guess is still that they were there with sponsored visas or that they came from Moscow, and that they have good jobs with good salaries, which, as I mentioned, is only currently possibly for Moscovites and 'Peterburgians'. We shall never know.

As I mentioned, your help on this site is very much appreciated. You are also very welcome to 'disagree' with me as much as you like. By now you have probably noticed that i know what I'm talking about. However, I doubt if you'll read my post in the first place. You don't strike me as a guy who takes advice well.

I remain your most humble servant,

Hi my dearest Steve!
How are you doing today? I'm doing fine! The weather here is still very
good as well!
How is the weather there? I hope fine either!
Today I had a conversation with my aunt Elena. She told me about the
life in America. It was very
interesting. But it seems to me that the life in United States became
less free. I don't
know how to say. After the 9/11 the laws became stricter, phone calls
can be listened,
military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq and etc. Does it the truth
Steve? Do you feel
yourself uncomfortable? It is very similar to Russia during the
communism. But anyway
United States is a very great and wonderful country! There are a lot of
possibilities and
freedoms. You can do what you wish to do! Fantastic! Russia is just
going to this condition.
Upon the whole my aunt said that it is a very good country to live and
work.
I'm very nervous Steve. And I'm getting nervous more each day. It is
all very new for me.
I have never traveled so far before.
This evening I'm going to visit my mom. Hopefully she is feeling much
better today!
I have to close now.
With deepest affection towards you!
Yours Anna

This is 'Anonymous who wishes to remain anonymous'.... I shall hereafter be known as Anonymous921; I have not seen that appelation in this thread.

- First of all, considering how many anonymous Americans there are on this site, your wish makes it quite tricky to have a personal dialogue with you. One of my posts that you've quoted was not even addressed to you. Ergo, if you were as experienced as you claim, you would surely come up with a signature so that we could recognise you? :D

Sorry if I quoted from a post not addressed to me. I have been here for three messages, I believe, and I don't know your rules. And if my supposition about the limited length of the Anna scam is correct, I won't be here all that much longer.

- 'Sorry but I'm not a child'?...seems like rather a childish reaction for one as mature as yourself, especially considering I was actually congratulating you for posting a bit of common sense. It was obviously not my intention to talk down to you, quite the opposite. So I'll repeat what I said: 'Finally, someone on this thread who's prepared to do a little homework!'.

Alright, but your English is good enough for me to believe it is your native tongue, and you should relize that my comment about not being a child is NOT a childish reaction; it is meant to say that I am a serious man. And I thank you for the compliment.

- Some of us have been posting here for quite some time, in my case nearly a year, OJAS and Dirk more than 6 months, Pierre God knows how long, 2 years or more?, for Fjällhare it must be at least a year etcetc. In other words, we've seen all the Russian/Ukrainian scams and most of the scam variations that there are to see. And why do we come here exactly?... to help innocent guys from sending money to scammers, if possible. Ego does not come into it.

That is a good work that you (all of you) have taken on. I congratulate you.

- On the other hand, I'm the only person on this site - as far as I know - who's ever been to Russia in the first place (twice in the past 15 months -- apart from your esteemed self more than 20 years ago), and I also teach English to the diplomats at the Russian Embassy in Stockholm. 9 years ago, Eddie. But it was good to see St. Petersburg, even though the occasion was not happy. I wish I had been able to go to Russia before that, but there were reasons....

- Either way, your help is very much appreciated, but a sensitive attitude is not.

Let us both try to dispense with our sensitive attitudes.

- As regards my general info post about Russian girls and Russian scammers, since I can't spend my whole life here replying to each individual poster who comments 'Russian bitch' and other inane crap, I've done my best to condense as much useful information into one post and then paste it where it might help. I don't have time to find it. At that time, we had a similar spate of guys posting, and similar discussions about visa regulations, scam outcomes etcetc.

This is the Anna scam (Annasot78@xdesign-pro.com); she claims to be an interior decorator, and claims to have a visa. If you can link this scam to another, I would find that useful and interesting.

- As regards visa requirements for a Russian travelling to the USA and any other country, I have it on GOOD authority (from a genuine female Russian travel agent in Saratov) and my own RECENT experience, that for a poor Russian man or woman it is 99.9% impossible to get a tourist visa to North America or Europe. Please don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about, I was there in April.

Yes, I agree about the American visa. I was saying that a girl is allowed to leave Russia.

- A poor Russian girl/guy can get a SPONSORED visa to Europe or North America (they call it a homestay visa in Russia), in which the (usually male) sponsor guarantees his/her upkeep during her stay. That one's a piece of cake. I've done it myself twice, for two different Russian girls.

Agreed.

- For a RICH Russian, anything is possible!

Again, I agree. Money makes things possible.

- Unfortunately, it's a bit late for you to interrogate the Russian girls that you met in the US, but my guess is still that they were there with sponsored visas or that they came from Moscow, and that they have good jobs with good salaries, which, as I mentioned, is only currently possibly for Moscovites and 'Peterburgians'. We shall never know.

Again, I agree. Had it been of interest, I might have asked. But I didn't know that years later I would be approached by a Russian scammer, or that this item might be of more than passing interest. I believe they were Moscovites, from their accents. My late g/f had that accent, picked up when she was at Moscow U.

- As I mentioned, your help on this site is very much appreciated. You are also very welcome to 'disagree' with me as much as you like. By now you have probably noticed that i know what I'm talking about. However, I doubt if you'll read my post in the first place. You don't strike me as a guy who takes advice well.

Now Eddie, that is just damned RUDE! I have read all the messages in the Anna thread. I have read your messages, both to others and to me.

It is true, I don't strike me as a guy who takes advice well. But then, in this case, I don't need the advice. I have simply analyzed this particular scam, confused you, and go on my way. I shall never see 'Anna', I shall never send her money (unless for a copy of a book that she might write), and I expect this to end approximately two months after it began in the last week of September. That would be the last week of November. Then we shall go our ways (unless it doesn't end).

And when it is all done, I shall print off all the messages I have received and sent, and the photos, in an attractive format, and have it bound and put it on a shelf, where I can show it to friends. I hope you won't mind if I include my messages to and from you in an Appendix.

- I remain your most humble servant,

I don't expect nor want you to be my most humble servant. 'Anna', yes, that would be a different story.

I shall close now, neither of us the other's humble servant (a good piece of pre-20th century writing). I remain now Anonymous921.

Anonymous 921...feedback appreciated! one or two misunderstadings have been cleared up. And I can certainly see that you're a serious person. Am I correct in assuming that the defintion of irony is no longer in Webster's American dictionary these days?

And as you can see in the post from 'anonymous from Silver Spring, United States', we get quite a lot of soft-headed morons popping in on us. These are the sort of guys that post 'fucking bitches' and other crap, when the vast majority of Russian scammers are men....what the scammers call 'скамерства', i.e. a guy who sends them money. A newbie who shows up on the site, knowing everything there is to know about Russian scamming and too proud to take advice. And why exactly? because he's American? We had an American guy here a few months ago who was scammed twice. Some people never learn. Others are probably not worth helping but we do it anyway. And as far as I can see, 'anonymous from Silver Spring, United States' illustrates why Americans are the most unpopular nationality in the world, as if GWB needed any help. Personally, I tend to respect the opinion of somone who knows more about a subject than myself, rather than call him and an arrogant SOB :D

As for your own contribution, again I'll say all help on the site is appreciated, however transient it may be. There are no particular 'rules'....common courtesy, common sense, mutual collaboration. But as I mentioned, there are quite a lot of American posters and it helps if you distinguish yourselves. Even 'Silver Spring' has managed it, whether he intended to or not.

No threads are exclusive, except those in which someone is actually baiting the scammer...without wanting to upset anyone by explaining what that is...it's wasting the scammer's time by getting him running off to Western Union to pick up money that hasn't been sent etcetc. In any case, this doesn't apply to this thread as yet.

Nurse or interior decorator, my feeling is that all the scammer's done in this case is change his profession. The letters look eactly the same. If you use the search function, you'll proably find them. Arrives in moscow, needs money for something. Usually he needs more money to convince US immigration to give him the visa (which means he doesn't actually have the visa in the first place). Could be a last-minute, very expensive medical exmination or insurance. something always goes wrong. We shall see soon enough.

As far as I can remember I never posted that Russian girls are 'not allowed' to leave Russia. Why would I post that? Of course they are. But they are not allowed to enter most of Europe or North America unless they satisfy the previously mentioned conditions. If you ever make it to Turkey, you'll find 100s of holidaying Russian girls there. On the other hand, Russian TV is full of sensationalist documentaries about Russian girls who've emigrated, especially to the US, only to be murdered or mistreated.

As you said yourself, Russian girls are not desperate to leave Russia, but unfortunately most 'Western guys' haven't done their homework and are still living with the early 90s myth, which is crucial to scammer success.

Rude I may be, but the reason I posted 'However, I doubt if you'll read my post in the first place' is because you misquoted me on several points. And my feeling was also that you didn't read my Russian scammer post thoroughly either, otherwise you wouldn't have dismissed it so quickly.

As regards Silver Spring, United States, he seems to prefer a mutual American love-in, which is what he deserves.

I searched delphi on top of this page for 3 words Nurse Visa US* (* allowing for A or nothing) and opened hits starting the fewest characters (continuing in the ascending order of characters till I found what I thought was most pertinent for the context.

I posted a second link about making life difficult for a scammer. Some of them take their own time with victims for various reasons.

1) One of my scammers (A She, I can confirm) does not fit the run-of-the-mill category. Under no financial pressure, she was taking her own sweet time with me. She took the conventional route to scam another guy for over 8000 (today's dollars) had more money than the time to spend, so was experimenting a different tactic on me. She's actually a hybrid-type scammer, extremely difficult to tackle.

2) A second scammer (this one a team of a young girl and her male companion) was also taking their time with me. I kept on giving them a benefit of doubt till I saw independent confirmation that she is complicitous and another guy started a thread with his own corroborative evidence. She in her complicitous role is still in the process of taking baby steps and has a long way to go before any claim for the coveted title of a scammer.

3) I reiterate my objective is to make scammers' lives difficult. One way is to make information available for newbies, as someone said on this site ''Information is Power''
