'Dearest,
I am more than happy in your reply to my email. How was your day? Mine is a little bit hot over here in Dakar Senegal. My name is Christy Etuku.
I 'm 23, from Ivory Coast in West Africa, 5.10ft tall, Fair in complexion,(never married before) and presently i am residing in the refugee camp here in Dakar as a result of the civil war that was fought in my country.
My late father Dr Alefo Etuku was the managing director of Alefokans and Associates (Ltd) and he was the personal advicer to the former head of state before the rebels attacked our house one early morning and killed my mother and my father in cold blood.
It was only me that is alive now and I managed to make my way to a near by country Senegal where i am living now in a refugee camp, and this computer is belonging to a reverend that has a church here in the camp.
I would like to know more about you.Your likes and dislikes, your hobbies and what you are doing presently. I will tell you more about myself in my next mail. Attached here is my picture. .Like to see yours.

Hoping to hear from you soonest.
Miss Christy Etuku

thank god for google. i received the same letter from a miss ann_1010@yahoo.com the past few days. what puzzled me is that she barely knew me and she already offered to deposit 6.5 million us dollars into my account. that led me to wonder and then i searched for a DR ALEFO ETUKU who was supposed to be her father. If he was really assassinated it would be easy to trace him on google search. And wala! it's a scam just like my instincts told me. please guys be careful of this dating sites. just do it the old fashion way.

I also got an e-mail with the same words I have read here. I guess the next e-mail I would get would be about the money matters. This is real scam. Thanks for revealing them.

99% of these scams originate in Russia or Nigeria but equally are controlled by the Russian mafia. Its usually an automated email system that tags you along, sometimes for months until the end result is they always ask for money. The easy way you can tell it is a scam is simply respond to the email saying the meanest and nastiest things you can, I mean completely insulting the person and sure enough an automated email will come back supposedly from the girl saying 'Thankyou for all the nice things you said about me.' etc.. Completely out of context with your last response etc.. But really who would actually believe that some lonely girl from Russia or Nigeria or Sudan or timbuktu would actually look for her soul mate by sending anonymous emails to complete strangers?

Dear all,

I have read many search emails and always ignore them. however, I just 'googled' to check on the 'late Dr's' details but as it were, its just a scam.

If the refugee girl (read a rogue thief) has money she can ask for assistance from UNHCR.

SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!
