Anon US,
Problem seems to be with delphi, always shrinking large pictures too 400 pictures wide, (533 pixel high max). It may have to do with storage size, if you use high resolution scan. It may take several tries, but lowering scanning resolution to 300 or 100 may still keep characters (like passport numbers) readable even after delphi scales it down to 400 pixel width.

Hmm, seems like I have seen bigger passports on Delphi... Oh well.

Anon UK,

Would you be so kind to send me the original of Olga's passport? If that is not too much trouble for you.

My email is 'elena at'. I am researching information on another Russian scammer, and the letters match the ones that you received from 'Olga.' The pictures do not match 'Olga's' pictures, unfortunately.

Anon US,
Scanning resolution determines the file size, and delphi tries to limit the file size of pictures by scaling to 400 pixels wide. This is with the default resolution for most scanners. If you scan with the highest resolution, it will have to shrink the size still further to keep file size down. Without certain limits like these, delphi pages can take forever to load.

Most of the larger passports you have seen are 400 pixels wide, were scanned by poster with low resolution.

Anon UK,
File size for e-mail attachment can be much larger.
When you scan for forged documents e-mailing, saving it as a PNG may give much better results than JPG.

When you follow the right edge and bottom edge of photos on a passport, look carefully for seal photoshopped area.
