I met Agnes Ofori on, a dating website associated w/ Facebook. I looked for her profile on Yahoo, because of the dearestone_2007 prefix. Her profile was pictureless and said she was in New York, and her Zoosk profile said she was in Aurora, IL red flag right there. After days of playing e-mail tag, we finally chatted two days ago. All of a sudden she is neither from NY or Aurora, but Ghana. Our first chat happened as soon as I logged onto Yahoo Messenger that day. I mean, it was like THAT *SNAP* like she was waiting for me.We had not discussed a day or time to chat and she was RIGHT THERE. Then there were entire paragraphs in her chat that made no sense in relation to the questions I asked her, like they were cut and pasted from another source, say from someone's profiile on a dating website.. I noticed her name mentioned in a forum on this site, but did not see her named as a scammer. I wanted to believe her, especially because of the photos she sent, which were so beautiful, of her and her daughterr . She just told me tonight her daughter was Kate. tried to make me feel guilty for not remembering that, when I'm not sure she ever told me. She told mre her town was called Cape Coast, near the city Accra. She kept saying God's grace and invoked God all the time She told me she was Catholic Another thing she said when I logged on tonight was that she wanted me to come home to her. I called her on it and she said, well i meant for you to come home in the chat room or some such. She hadn't asked for money yet, but she did tell me I was the first man she met on the internet which I knew wasn't true because I saw her yahoo address on your forum, and I knew someone had found her. Even after all that, I wanted to believe her, but the last straw was when I asked her if she strggled with God's will and REPEATED the question. A short time later, another obviously cut-and-paste paragraph popped up, bracketed by a sentence or two she had written herself. She appeared quite angry that I should pressure her in this way using exclamation points!!!! Her last sentence was very interesting, 'Are you the man!!!!?' or somesuch. I said, 'well, i'm tired now. I have to go. I will e-mail you later.' Which I did. but only to tell her she wasn't who she said she was, that i was blocking her addresses and taking steps to report her as a scammer, which i am doing now. I had dealings with a Russian scammer before, so I knew the warning signs and wasn't going to wait for her to ask for money
