Question:
Firefox starts as an icon and I cannot maximize it. I assumed it would store the window size/ position in the registry or in a config file but could not located this information. How can I 'reset' Firefox to start up clean again?Answer:
Go to the command line prompt into the folder where Firefox is installed and start it in 'safe mode':firefox -safe-mode
A menu will pop up and allow you to erase customizations/ user specific settings. Try the first of the 3 options (toolbar and component settings) and click on 'Apply changes and restart Firefox'.
Most likely this will solve your problem.
Otherwise try options 2 or 3.
